My baby girl is 1 month old now and I’ve been EBF. I’ve always wanted to pump a bit to give my husband the opportunity to feed her occasionally too and ideally plan to do a combination once she gets to 6 weeks. Does anyone have any advice on how to start incorporating pumping please? How do you make sure you maintain your supply (and don’t create over supply) and also making sure that I have enough milk on demand for my baby as she’s still feeding quite often.
Thank you 💫

I honestly found that it wasn’t that much of a big deal. I just pump when I need to and I haven’t found it effects my supply. If you’re going to do it regularly you probably need to pick a time of day and then you’d just need to commit to pumping at that time. I tried to pump and give a bottle but my baby won’t take a bottle so I’ve had to carry on breastfeeding. So you’ll need to see if baby will take a bottle first before you commit to pumping everyday. I wouldn’t worry about not having enough milk, if you’ve pumped and your baby is hungry you’ll still have milk for them.
