My little girl is 5 weeks old she has silent reflux we had her on kendamil but when we ended up in hospital with her we were advised to try her on sma comfort food which she seems to be doing good on only thing she is having yellow/green runny nappies, spits up some bottles, a lot of hiccups and sneezes a lot, my health nurse thinks she has cmpa and wants us to trail aptamil pepti. How does everyone find there little ones on it ?

We went onto Aptamil Pepti 1 at 5 weeks and it’s honestly made such a difference. It does take 6 weeks to get the full affect and we did have a few bad weeks during those six weeks but since then she’s been a lot better x

thank you. I think she might have mild cmpa, what was your little ones symptoms before the aptamil pepti

Avatar

runny, explosive nappies and a lot of them, projectile vomiting, congested, sneezing, coughing, hiccups, pain passing wind or when trying to poo, grunting, constantly bringing legs up to chest and rash on face and chest x

It’s just so hard to know cos she only has some symptoms but we will trail it and see what happens, did your baby take to it straight away as I have seen some people say babies don’t like the taste of it x

it doesn’t matter how many symptoms she has, I know some people only have blood in poo and have got diagnosed. She did, we didn’t have any problems. But if you do you can add some vanilla drops in to make it taste a little better x

thank you. A doctor told me no it couldn’t be cmpa when she was 3 weeks old but health nurse is nearly sure she does have it. We will give it a go and hopefully she be okay on this food

We're in a similar boat with our 6wk old. She has a lot of explosive poos 6-8x day with about 1-2x being runny and maybe mucousy but mostly they are normal. She gets a lot of air whilst feeding and we struggle to burp/wind her which can lead to a lot of straining and crying. Her belly is always distended. About 3-4x week she will vomit (not just posit) and this is usually after A feed in the evenings and she is unconsolable after that - day time she is fine.

No other issues with reflux or skin or blood in poo/green poo etc so I just don't know if it's CMPA.

My 2.5yo has CMPA and had a lot more symptoms

It took a while for my lo on pepti 1 but it helped him loads. He had silent reflux, congestion, sneezing hiccups, crying on thr bottle. Now he’s so much better, has reflux but no where near as bad, and it doesn’t bother him

I started my little girl on the pepti today she’s been so unsettled since and crying more then she normal does hopefully next few days she be more settled. She is also pulling away from the bottle as I think she notices the change in taste as it doesn’t smell the nicest so could imagine how it taste

When did you circumcise your baby?
If you DID NOT or DO NOT have a circumcised son DO NOT comment this post is not for you!

Did you wait a certain amount of time or have it done immediately?
Again respectfully, this is only for the parents who choose to do so.

Can someone pls help i keep making this post and nobody is responding

My boyfriend booked a trip for us to go to mexico for a week as my push present. I have severe anxiety leaving my 7 month old with my mom. I know she will be in good hands but she’s exclusively breast fed for the most part but accepts bottles just fine. i have all my pumping parts packed and will pump when baby normally eats but i don’t want baby to forget me or have latch issues when i return!! any mommas ever experience this?

Postpartum

I’m only 3 days postpartum (FTM) and already have extremely bad anxiety. I’m crying every night, as I think of another night of no sleep. My baby will not settle in his cot, he cries every moment we put him down unless in his chair rocker. So me and my partner are having to alternate after 3/4 hours of being awake with him downstairs. I’m trying everything to get him to settle. It’s a load of overwhelming stress. I’m 23, I was desperate for a baby and now I have one and feel completely useless. I miss it just being me and my partner.

I feel like just a milk cow

Hi I have a 16 day old via c section, I'm a FTM never having been around babies before as I am the youngest of my household and from a small family. My husband is fantastic with our little one. But ever since I've had the baby I just feel like the only thing I'm good for is producing milk. I feel disconnected from my husband like the only reason he's around is because am producing milk. We were having some issues before the baby and we're struggling it took a while to feel like he was onboard even though he said he was from the moment we found out. I dunno if I'm feeling like a spear part because I'm lacking confidence with baby or because I feel like he wouldn't mind being a single dad. Is this postpartum hormones or something else?

How long did it take for your child’s circumcision to heal and you could give him a bath?

I’ve just been wiping him down with a fiber wash cloth but I just wanted to know from others experience on how long it took

Guilt

Does anyone else feel guilty for every little thing they do? I feel like I need to be entertaining my little one at all times. If I have to put her in the activity center to finish a task, instant guilt. In the car for too long, instant guilt. Replying to work emails instead of interacting with her, instant guilt. I know independent play is good for her but my brain thinks otherwise. Please tell me it gets better, I’d love to shower for more than 10 minutes without it feeling like the world is going to collapse.
