Cystogram - kidney issues 2.5 YO

Has anyone’s LO been for a Cystogram? Looking to connect with other mums with LOs that have kidney problems.

For background - reoccurring UTIS, MAG3 test shows significant scarring and 1 kidney is working at 18%.

Many thanks

sending you hugs, it’s tough isn’t it?!
Can I ask, what’s your LOs background for the test?
I am absolutely dreading the Cystogram. I’m not sure how I’ll cope being beside him when he’s put to sleep, poor thing is already traumatised from previous hospital admissions, he crys at the sight of the GP or hospital. I feel terrible he has to go through this but I know it’s for the best! x

We’ve been told it’s Hydronephrosis. He was likely born with it and it’s commonly picked up at the 20w ultrasound. 1 in 100 babies have it, we had 3 UTIs within 4 months before he was 1, had an ultrasound to check and they found the signs. He’s been on daily antibiotics since April 2023, we’ve not had a UTI since October 2022 but he’s latest ultrasound has shown that his kidney has got bigger. A lot of kids can grow out of it naturally by 5, but some need support and ops. We were advised to potty train asap as it helps reduce risk of infection and can also help their bladder function.

I completely understand the anxiety with it all. I’m dreading the IV and haven’t even thought what’s next If the MAG3 doesn’t go well! Is your LO on anything preventative? X

Small head reported following 20 week scan

Has anyone else had it flagged that their baby is in the bottom 5th percentile for head size?

They said everything was fine whilst we were in the scan and then I got a phone call the next day saying that it’s on the small side and we’re being referred to a paediatric specialist at St George’s. Has anyone else had this and how did things go??

Scan needed at 33 weeks

Hi ladies! I just had a midwife appointment (I am 33+5)..the midwife was different to my usual midwife. She's requested I have a scan within 72 hours as she said baby is measuring a little small, however, she did say that it's likely nothing to worry about and it's probably just her measuring me a bit different to my usual midwife. Has anyone else had this? Am a bit worried although babys heartbeat and movements are completely fine.

Finding out gender

Has anyone found out the gender at a private scan at 14 weeks? And has this been accurate?

I found out at 17 with my first but I know a scan place that offers from 14/15 weeks and I’m impatient 😂🥲

Rolling milestone at 5 months - What’s typical ?

Good morning ladies,

My daughter will be 5 months old tomorrow, but there’s still no sign of her rolling. She does tummy time and loves lying on her mat, playing with hanging toys above her and to the sides, but she only lifts her legs and doesn’t seem interested in rolling or moving sideways yet.

Anyone else the same or have your babies already learnt how to roll yet ?

Thank you
