1st Birthday Party Venues

Can anyone think of a type of venue we could hire for LB's first birthday that has both indoor and outdoor space ?

Ideally I'd love to have it outside but in the North of England I'm always thinking about the weather 😂

But then indoor things like soft play would be such a shame if it ends up being a hot day!

Is there any pubs around you that have a room you can hire out and an outdoor play area for the kids? You can hire little soft play bits for inside. One of my friends is doing this for her little boys 1st birthday

I can't think of any but will check! It would be great for them to have the option to be outside if the weather is nice!

Village halls are usually well priced

we're not near Lancaster so that wouldn't work for us x

that’s a shame! They’re usually great resources for stuff like that! Our local is dirt cheap so we’re probably going to do a little party there for her as easier than ours!

yeah I'd ideally like to hire somewhere I think as we have it in our garden but it rains we won't fit everyone inside 🤣 and I can't handle the chaos and mess that will come with all of his cousins! X

I was trying to think of somewhere like that but all the ones where I am that have outdoor space it isn't really appropriate outdoor space for kids e.g. All paved or one has a beautiful garden but says kids can't play in it 🤣

normal or infected?

5 weeks post c section , i went at the beginning of the week as my wound had opened completely different area to what’s leaking. was told it didn’t look infected. anyone know if this is normal coming off it, it’s only a little amount at a time

Induction?

Anyone been induced before? Was it more painful? Better than thought? Worse than thought? Worth it? Thoughts?

Baby names

My daughter‘s name is valentýna and I’m struggling to find other nice girl and boy names beginning with V I’ve got a few and I’ve got loads that aren’t beginning with V, but I feel like I wanna go for all vs and I also love girl and boys names that match so because my daughter’s name is valentýna I would love to call my son Valentino my husband does not agree 😃

Induction or c section?

As a last resort, would you rather be induced or have a planned c section?

Really not liking the thought of being induced from people’s experiences I’ve read!

I am so done with pregnancy !

Everything i do hurt . I sit down / i stand up / i walk / i lie down. I am in pain ! I am tired ! His mouvement hurt down there like electricity chock ! My back is on fire ! If i walk more then 5 minutes i feel like i am going to die ( low ferritine) the acid reflux is crazy . I mean i can’t and don’t wanna do this no more . Only 31 weeks !

Almost 37 weeks + told to do another growth scan

I just had my second to last doctor’s appointment this morning, and my OB told me she wants me to do another growth scan because my belly is measuring small. She says it’s probably just because I’m a smaller woman, but they like to be safe. It’s hard to hear though, since I just did one a couple months ago.

I did this with my firstborn around this time of pregnancy, so I do think I just carry smaller (even though I don’t feel like I look “small” at all). My first baby was 6lbs 15oz when she was born at 41 weeks + 2 days. I’m having this baby at 39 weeks on April 7. I hope she’s still at least 6lbs.

Anyone have any stories similar to this?
