Are you pregnant? All depends when you are due ect, does your company pay occupational/enhanced maternity pay? X

@Rachael yes I am only 11 weeks and yes they do

If you can get the policy I can look at it for you in regards to the additional pay. For SMP, it all depends on your due date as that determines your qualifying date. To qualify for SMP you must: • earn on average at least £123 a week • give the correct notice and proof you’re pregnant • have worked for your employer continuously for at least 26 weeks continuing into the ‘qualifying week’ - the 15th week before the expected week of childbirth

But if you left you may be entitled to statutory maternity allowance from the government instead x

Look at nugget on instagram/tiktok they are very helpful with stuff like this. You’d have to know the policy of the new place… some places only offer enhanced after one year… but if you not getting enhanced anyway then it’s less of a downgrade for you. That said it can be harder to find a job when pregnant. Personally I’d stick at it, coast along (take your sick days!), and use annual leave at the end of pregnancy and then go on maternity with them and make the most of that. Then be looking for new jobs during mat leave!

Also if your mental health is on the floor, could you get extended sick note from the GP to take time off? I had 3 weeks off for mental health in a previous job and then a phased return which really helped me
