Breast feeding help!!!

Salam!
I have a beautiful almost 6 week old daughter

I exclusively try to feed my daughter breast milk especially when she was first born. I was first giving her breast milk every feed except at night sometimes with a formula bottle every now and then when I’m too tired to feed her. I was also pumping close to 100-120ml everytime, to only pumping 30-50ml in a span of a week.

To be fair my husband broke his ankle and needed surgery so I started stressing out over him (since he is the main provider and I don’t work and he will be out of work for 3 months) and the baby and I stopped eating and drinking and taking care of myself for about a week or a little more. But I’m trying to get back to taking care of myself and I’ve been drinking plenty of fluid such as fennel tea, orange juice, liquid IV, and water. I’ve also been trying to eat 2 meals a day (because I sleep through breakfast time). I also still take prenatals and omega 3.

She now has nipple confusion and is having a hard time latching after my first let down and gets super frustrated once she latches and no milk comes out. I am so frustrated as well and upset that I caused my milk to go away, I’m trying to best to increase my supply by giving her breast milk every feeding and pumping when I can, but it upsets me when I have to give her a formula bottle on top of what I give her and it’s barley anything since it’s not even 1oz and she needs 4oz.

Is there any advice from any mama who is going through this or has been through this and has any ideas for increasing milk supply.

It sounds like you are doing everything nutrition wise. I would add oatmeal and lactation cookies as well. Your nipples need to be stimulated and emptied to increase production so if you are formula feeding to supplement try to pump to make up for it and you can also do a few power pumping sessions (check Google and u will find a breakdown).
Inshallah your supply comes back

Try skin to skin contact with baby, power pumping and popped lotus seed as snacks or to add in milk as cereal. You can also make mixture of dry nuts such as pistachios, almonds, cashews, melon seeds and popped lotus seeds, saffron, and deserted coconut blended together into roughly powder texture to mix with milk.

Its worth a try and in sha Allah it helps x

Help! First time mum -

I have a 4 month old and now all of a sudden when he’s been asleep for 1hr30/2hrs he will wake up screaming (high pitched) I’ve tried winding him sometimes that helps, I’ve tried bicycle legs & bringing his knees up but that doesn’t seem to help but he brings his knees up himself sometimes but nothing happens. I’ve noticed since the 4 month mark he has started to struggle passing wind downwards! Any tips?

Bath Time

Help! My baby is 3 and a half weeks old. Every bath she goes in quite happy but will only stay like this for a very few mins, if I try to clean her or move her we have tears and after a few mins the same. It's like she is scared. Our current baby bath is quite big should I try a different one? Looking for any suggestions as want her to enjoy bath time not be upset and I'm scared I'm going to make her hate it😢💗

Big nursing bras!

I’m looking for recommendations for good nursing bras for bigger breasted ladies!

I’m currently in a 38H which seems to be the biggest size done at M&S (UK based mama here) and it’s snug and not as supportive as I’d like. When I look online, they mainly seem to be sized S, M, L, XL etc rather than bra sizes.

Any recommendations please?

Crying during feeding

Hey mams! My girl is 6 weeks on Monday and is having so much trouble with feeding. It doesn’t happen every feed but more often than not she will start a bottle and just start crying as if she’s in pain and she can’t take the milk. I think it’s trapped wind but I genuinely don’t know what to do it’s so pitiful to see her not be able to feed! She’s formula fed and on HiPP Organic.
Anyone else been in this position? I’m pretty sure it’s just a bit of trapped wind that she needs to fart out but can’t! If anyone has any advice I’d be very grateful as I think I may need to tape my eyelids open soon 😂
