Breastfeeding & CrossFit

I’m going back to CrossFit next week (10 weeks pp) and I will be doing the earliest session to fit in our schedule. Slightly concerned about how uncomfortable my breasts will be or how much they will leak first thing in the morning as I have an oversupply. My son is only waking once or twice now per night to feed so I wake up very full. Does anyone have a similar experience and potential solutions? I was thinking of pumping for a few mins to relieve the engorgement or perhaps a “dream feed” at 4:30 before I leave. Challenge with pumping is it will make my oversupply situation worse which is why I stopped. Any suggestions?

I usually take a 6AM weight lifting classes and typically nurse my LO around 4:30/4:45 before I go then put her back to sleep. I didn’t trust my regular/pre-pregnancy sports bras and purchased a high impact maternity sports bra from sweat and milk. There’s enough space to put very thick nipple pads (from Amazon) on just in case I leak during class. Sweat and Milk sports bras are a little pricey but worth it

@Imani yes I currently don’t fit into any of my pre-pregnancy sports bras and desperately searching for ones that have high support and can fit my cup size now. When you feed before you go do you try both breasts or one? I usually feed off one only so I may have one breast that is comfortable over the other!

That was also my dilemma! This is been the best option I’ve found that’s supportive and comfortable. I only feed from one breast, so similar to you and it hasn’t caused a major leak during my workout
