I think that 45 mins is just for the first month.
Can depend on car seat - the eggs travel system car seat is only 30 mins. Cybex, Maxi-Cosi etc is longer x
It depends on the type of car seat. The reclining ones I believe are slightly longer.
@Becca can you recline the recline ones while they’re travelling in the car do you know?
Yes! It means the front seat has to be pushed quite far forward. But it was the main reason we bought a reclining one! They don’t recline as far in the car as they do out of the car, but still recline more than a standard car seat!

With my firstborn I was always in the back sitting next to the car seat and I’d play with her with her baby toys throughout the ride, we would pull over for me to breastfeed, burp, & change her as needed.
2 hours in 24 hour period with breaks every 45 minutes!
If they're in an infant carrier then the 45 minute rule still applies, it changes when they go into the next stage seat x
No more than 2 hours at a time so make sure baby has frequent breaks if going somewhere further x
