Hardcore Depression

I suffer from severe depression coupled with PTSD and I was taking medicine to help with it before pregnancy. But when I found out. I had to stop taking it and still can't while breast feeding. I'm slowly slipping further and further, I'm noticing it more and more. Getting lazier, more tired, forgetfulness, when feeding I have to hold on tight in fear of have an episode and dropping her. This is scary considering I am always left out and put her first. I don't want my actions of taking care of my daughter be twisted into me feeling that going and taking care of her is a bad thing. As if she's the reason why I can't have fun. I try to make friends, but it is very difficult. And even then, I don't like expressing what's going on. Idk what to do...

Would you consider switching to formula so you can get back in whatever medications were previously helping? 🤍

Remember fed is best . Is okay to feed your baby formula for your own mental health!

The problem is she doesn't take Formula. She refuses to eat it.

You’re doing an awesome job, Mommy. Coming to Peanut is a great idea. We’re here for each other. 👑👑👑👑👑👑 Motherhood can be so challenging. I can only imagine what you’re going through. I’m a first time mommy to my almost 6 month old baby boy. How old is your baby? I had to come to grips with giving him formula b/c my breast milk supply was so low. It was devastating to me, but he’s been fully on formula since 6 weeks and doing fine. At 1st he hesitated, but we had to keep pushing in order for him to eat. I had to keep trying and eventually he started to drink it just fine. Keep pushing. You need your medicine and baby needs food, so you gotta make it work. YOU GOT THIS!!!!! Even through tears, frustration, and scarcity… YOU GOT THIS!⭐️🌟☀️💫💫

You can try to start adding formula to breast milk bottles very slowly. It might get her used to the taste of it. Or, perhaps, there is a different medicine you can go on temporarily while you continue to breastfeed?

@Kara I tried to give Formula with breastmilk but she wouldn't take it. I feel like it's also the bottle. I've tried 4 different bottles and even then she doesn't take. I have a heart problem on top of spots in my brain so I'm very limited on the medicine I can take

@Claudia I'm glad everything is going good. Unfortunately my family lives an hour away and my husband works 12hr shifts... I love her so much and I'd do anything for her. I put on a bug smile and lift my voice up everyday for her, just so I can see her smile

Thank all of you for your advice and help. I truly appreciate it. Yall are wonderful

You can take vitamins and drink tea that will increase your breast milk production and pump and save your milk for a little while and then get back on your meds and feed them what you have in the freezer I'm sorry to hear that lady if you ever want someone to talk to just hit me up I understand the depression ❤️❤️❤️ lots of love
