Those of you who have managed to get into a routine with your little one, do you take your babies for a walk during their wake window or nap time? My little one is 8 weeks old and will more than likely sleep once the pram is moving, but don’t want to take her during nap time incase she doesn’t sleep or incase the walk doesn’t last as long as her nap needs to be🤣 but also don’t want to take her in her wake window incase she sleeps and throws herself off ! Trying really hard to get into a routine and failing miserably 🤣

I walk for nap time with the bassinet that way when we are home she can stay sleeping

I have the exact same issue. Interested to see what others do

I walk during nap time usually in the papuse as I time it with the dog walk and if it is a shorter nap then he will generally have a longer one in the next nap cycle. I try not to stress too much on the times or I’ll be forever routine trapped x

Hey
I may be slightly different to others. I have a 2 year old, 3 times a week we do the nursery run and on days we are at home I need to get out and about with my toddler (he has alot of energy).
This means naps for my 6 week old are all over the place.
I work on as long as he gets something between feeds and try 1 nap a day in his crib so it is a long one (usually around lunch time) that's a good start.
I have also tried having a longer wake window before his evening/ night feed. That way it sets him up tired for the night.

Get a rockit rocker for the pushchair, take out whenever you like but if they fall asleep, you don’t have to carry on walking as you can put the rocker on.

My lo will have his first nap 2-2,5 hours after he wakes up from the night. So it's usually around 10-11. I would take him for a walk so he can fall asleep, or if the weather is shit I take him for a car trip. He will sleep for around 3 hours after the walk/trip.

Walk during naptime and then just keep him in the carrycot 😊

I go for walk during nap time and leave in the pram in my hall outside livingroom door if she's still sleeping when we get home

Usually nap time bur I've found if she's been asleep ans had a good nap then we go on a walk she will stay awake and she is 7 weeks

Maybe I’m in the minority but with my 10 week old I just leave whenever and have never really tracked his naps/feeds, I just like to try and feed and change him as soon as possible to when I leave x
