My mothers name was Pamela, passed away when I was young, and would like to give my daughter a middle name that somehow ties my mothers energy in. I’m currently trying to think of words I can use that just remind me of her energy instead of straight up using her name. Yet I was wondering if there’s people here with any ideas!
The first name I like the most for my expecting daughter ends with an A. So rings similar. I don’t think it sounds right to call her
D___a Pamela Hardcastle.
It’s a bit repetitive
So I’m a bit lost.
My mothers maiden name translates to Dove which is pretty howeva the name I like (that my partner also loves too) starts with a D
Idkkk thoughts?

Amelie also sounds fairly similar to Pamela.
Paloma is a name that means "dove" and also sounds similar to Pamela - so that could work as a tribute, as it subtly combines both her first and maiden name.
the names Jemima and Jem also mean "dove", so they could be a way to associate your daughter's name with your mother's maiden name. 🕊
or the name Pamela itself means "honey/sweetness" - you could go with a name that has a similar meaning:
Honey
Bea/Bee
Dulcie - sweet
Melissa - honey bee
Melina - little honey
Dulcibella - sweet/pretty
Pamina - little honey
Melinda - beautiful honey
Malinda - beautiful honey
Melona - sweet as honey
Permillia - honey
Roanna - sweet
Melita - honey
