So I don’t wanna complain because my baby sleeps 10-12 hours a night from 9:30 so I am blessed.
she turned 5 months today and for the past couple of weeks it’s been taking around an hour to get her down to sleep and she’ll sleep between 25-45 mins and have 3 naps a day with around a 2 hour wake window. For the past 2 days she has woke up from her nap around 4 and refused her last nap and has stayed up until 8:45 and it’s mentally draining me. But is this normal at this age? If not what can I doooo🥲

This happened to us at the 4.5/5 month mark and he cut a tooth at 5.5 months and started sitting up so don’t know if it was linked to either of them. He’s 7 months now and much better at napping (although does only nap 30 min at a time 🤣) but he doesn’t fight it anymore. Xxx

I am just so unprepared for her to be awake that long it’s killing me off hahaha, she’s just started rolling and sits up for a few seconds on her own xx

it’s really rough but honestly it passes as quickly as it comes! Xx

Have you tried a pram walk or quick car ride for a little cat nap to tide her over till bed time so it’s not such a long window maybe, or earlier bed maybe x

I wish my girl was sleeping 10-12 hours! (No hate I love that your LG is getting that sleep!) my LG is 4 months and is currently managed between 8-9 hours of sleep a night after a growth spurt and a few weeks of sleep regression. She had a similar bedtime and her naps during the day are very very similar.
I tend to watch for her cues when she’s sleepy, usually around an hour and a half to 2 hours after waking up. Some days she goes even longer and the energy it takes to keep them occupied or try to get them down for a sleep in so hard!
I try to get the room darker, calm atmosphere, cuddles, I’ll use pink noise (on loud!) and sometimes I’ll do this trick someone else suggested. You pace for 5 mins, then sit for 8-10 and hopefully they should either be falling asleep or actually asleep and starting to go into a deep sleep.
I do find that she will nap in her buggy so I try and get us out before midday for her morning nap.
Not much else I can suggest sadly. Hope it gets better!

I'm going through the same thing now with my 5 month old baby girl. I just saw a YouTube video about it https://youtu.be/v5qQVkOtpX4?si=qn4xo3XfIjZ0_aCi
It's supposed to get better *crossing fingers*

My son just turned 3 months and he only naps for 25 minutes at most but at night he’ll sleep from 10:30pm-9am and usually it’s me waking him up to change him and to prep for a bottle :) if i let him sleep though he wouldn’t be getting up until 11:30 almost 12 lol. He usually gets his last 25 minute nap though at 7:30-8 or so. It’s actually better for them to sleep in little chunks I know it’s hard trust me I get it as a single mom, he’s been like this though since he was born. Except every 3-4 hours at night of course, but yeah it sucks and it’s exhausting but it’s so worth it for that long stretch of sleep they get at night :) you’re doing great 🩵
