Whenever I drive my baby without fails cries non stop.. I can’t take it anymore. It is so triggering, it makes me not want to leave the house. Does it ever stop? He’s 7 months now.

I have this exact same issue. My sister in law said to just keep at it and someday it'll click that we are going on an adventure and they become less scream.

My son hates car rides too. I time it so that we get into the car when it is time for his nap so that he’ll go to sleep. For short trips I make sure he just ate and slept and has his favorite toys. Most of the time it is working out. I have to make the back seat pretty dark because if the sun gets in his eyes he cries. I also prefer to sit in back seat to help him manage his emotions. I have occasionally succumbed to playing Mrs Rachel or Bluey on my phone for him when we just have to get somewhere and he is crying.

i do try and time it for when it’s nap time but he still cries. He doesn’t cry when I’m in the backseat with him but when it’s me driving he will scream and cry. I really hope it gets better.

is baby still in the infant seat? if so i have heard switching to a convertible seat can make them like the car more!!

yes he is. I’m going to get a convertible asap

Same here. It did already get slightly better. Hope she will eventually grow out of it. We have toys hanging down for her to grab which helps a lot.

Switching to a convertible seat helped us a lot.!! And a baby mirror my daughter will just stare at herself and her toys

i try to plan my outings around a nap time. 10 minutes before i’m about to leave (i already have baby prepped and diaper bag and car packed) i remove his car seat from the car and pack him in, feed him a bottle in the seat, and rock him. once his eyes look sleepy i plopp him in the car with a pacifier in his mouth and go 😀
if he wakes up, i sing lullaby’s to him and smile at him in the mirror he can see me through attached to the rear seat.
it may sound terrible the best things i ever taught him to do were to hold a bottle on his own and put his pacifier in his mouth 🤣 it took a lot of work and patience but has paid off for both of us ❤️
good luck!!!

Could it be motion sickness?

that’s what’s my husband says but i have no idea

My baby wasn’t a fan of the infant car seat, a convertible seat made her more comfortable in the car!

When we had the infant seat. We took out that extra padding and adjusted the straps. She was so uncomfortable. Once we did those changes she was so much better.
Then, around 6 months, we changed to the evenflo 360 carseat. Best carseat ever! She is so comfortable! And sleeps most of the car rides now. 😊😊. Hope this helps!

might be a dumb question but does she have any carseat toys back there?
