My daughter is 10 weeks old. After birth for the first month she barely slept and she would just cry all day. Fast forward to now…she takes about 3 naps during the day that last 2-3 hours. She sleeps perfectly fine at night. Averaging about 6 hours sometimes she’ll even sleep for 8 hours at night. During the day i try to keep her up for at least an hour for feeding and screen time (she loved to see the colors on the tv) or playing then goes back to sleep. She gets cranky when she’s awake too long. But with her being my first I’m not sure if it’s normal for her to be sleeping this much or is it a good thing and I should be grateful cause I know some babies don’t sleep at all lol.

when did she start sleeping this much?

about 2 months old

Is she gaining weight ok and does she have lots of wet nappies? Every baby is different so try not to compare yourself to others. This may be your baby’s normal but for peace of mind, you could check with your doctor.

yep she’s gaining on track and eats just fine.

Well that’s good, means you don’t need to wake her for feeds. I’d double check with a doctor for peace of mind, including the bit where you have to keep her awake. It’s probably absolutely fine but always best to be sure. ❤️

Screen time? They don't really need this at this age cos everything is blurry anyway. Try high contrast books instead.
It's not really recommended under 2 tbh (my daughter has had it since about 1)
Sleeping 17 hours a day (3x3 and then 8 at night) is completely normal at this age. Wake windows of about an hour are all good.
Usually they would do more naps of less time but if she's happy with 3 longer ones and it isn't impacting night times leave it as it is!
