We recently sleep trained using just chill baby sleep in room settling methods - we just shush him to sleep and occasionally pat his bum. Have been doing for about two weeks now and while we can now put him in his cot awake where we used to have to rock or feed to sleep, he is still waking about 4 or 5 times a night and needs to be resettled by patting and shushing, otherwise he stands straight up and cries. When does it get better 😭 I thought sleep training him would help or atleast change the wake ups to 1 or 2. Honestly can’t do 4/5/6 wake ups a night anymore 😭😭 I’m not expecting him to sleep through but less wake ups would be amazing

Hi my daughter was the exact same theres a white noise sound on youtube called baby shh sound that is white noise and shushing it helped a lot now she only wakes once for a feed 🙂

Hi 🖐 probably a silly question, but are they eating enough before they go to sleep? We found that he was waking for more food so he now has more in the day and still a bottle before bed and he'll sleep through

Sleep training unfortunately doesn’t help with night wakes for the most part. How much sleep are they getting in a 24 hour period? Could their naps be too long so they’re not tired enough to sleep through the night (as in longer stretches, not from bed to wake)

Or not napping enough during the day and over tired at night

funny you mention that cos this is something I’m trialing today. Has nearly 3 hours sleep instead of 2 and gonna see how it impacts
