Moving baby to own room

Hello! We want to move our 6 month to the bigger cot as she’s getting too big for the snuzpod and isn’t able to move as much as she’d like I don’t think. Unfortunately the cot doesn’t fit in our room though so she’ll be in the nursery.

LO is EBF and I currently feed to sleep (occasionally partner bounces). As she’s only up about twice in the night, this has never been much of a problem and happy to continue. We’ve never managed to get her to nap in the cot though and naps are usually in the pram or maybe car/on me.

We tried the cot last night and she woke immediately every time I put her down, ready to play and so we gave up as we were both knackered. Does have anyone have any advice on how to make this easier? Or reassurance that perseverance will pay off?!

Additional context: I’ve always done the bedtime routine in the nursery, she’s always been changed in there and we’ve put her in the cot during the day whilst we’ve done things around the flat so she knows the room.

Her sleep does seem to be a bit off at the moment - waking at weird times etc - so maybe wrong time to be trying?

Sorry for the long post, I’m just feeling a bit helpless and like a bad mum not able to get her to sleep 😬

Thank you!

Your not a bad mum,
I found sleeping with the cot bedding under your pillows (the smell of you) the night before putting them on the cot.
Might help?

I found white noise helps to relax the baby.

Try putting baby in there for naps if you can, so she can get used to the cot.
I found putting my baby in the cot, I’ll walk away and not make a fuss and she’s makes a fuss for 10 mins then she falls asleep.
With my first, I was rocking to sleep and he relied on that which was a pain.

How old is your baby? X

Help! First time mum -

I have a 4 month old and now all of a sudden when he’s been asleep for 1hr30/2hrs he will wake up screaming (high pitched) I’ve tried winding him sometimes that helps, I’ve tried bicycle legs & bringing his knees up but that doesn’t seem to help but he brings his knees up himself sometimes but nothing happens. I’ve noticed since the 4 month mark he has started to struggle passing wind downwards! Any tips?

Bath Time

Help! My baby is 3 and a half weeks old. Every bath she goes in quite happy but will only stay like this for a very few mins, if I try to clean her or move her we have tears and after a few mins the same. It's like she is scared. Our current baby bath is quite big should I try a different one? Looking for any suggestions as want her to enjoy bath time not be upset and I'm scared I'm going to make her hate it😢💗

Crying during feeding

Hey mams! My girl is 6 weeks on Monday and is having so much trouble with feeding. It doesn’t happen every feed but more often than not she will start a bottle and just start crying as if she’s in pain and she can’t take the milk. I think it’s trapped wind but I genuinely don’t know what to do it’s so pitiful to see her not be able to feed! She’s formula fed and on HiPP Organic.
Anyone else been in this position? I’m pretty sure it’s just a bit of trapped wind that she needs to fart out but can’t! If anyone has any advice I’d be very grateful as I think I may need to tape my eyelids open soon 😂

No more naps! 10 month old

For a few days now my 10m old has fought her 2 daily naps. Normally her wake windows were 3-4 hours and she is now eventually napping after a 6 hour wake window. Today was only one nap, she skipped the second one. Used to nap like clockwork so I’m wondering if anyone else is experiencing this? Also very unsettled most nights and doesn’t sleep well at all
