38 weeks pregnant today and just lost my mucus plug.

When did you go into labor after losing your plug? I was induced the first time so this never happened to me before

This is going to be so unhelpful but it could be hours, days, or weeks after losing it. But it does mean your cervix is starting to dilate!

I had a cervical check a few days ago and she said I was 2cm but I know that isn’t a good indicator either. I was just curious as to others peoples experiences of when they lost their plug to when labor started

Can’t speak for myself as I’ve heard what said too but for 2 of my friends labor started the same day

Your mucus plug can regenerate, so it's entirely possible to lose it again. As with dilation, you can sit at 2cm for days and weeks.

I lost my mucus plug twice now, last I was checked I was a 4 and 50% effaced. 38+3 here! :/ also, to add, you could think you've lost it all, and more still can come out. My first time I lost it (30 weeks) I lost it over a span of 4 days and it all looked like it could have been the whole things. There was so much! 🤞 Crossed for you to be holding your baby soon!

I've been losing bits of my mucus plug since 28 weeks but was told everything looks normal and it can regenerate. I'm 36 weeks and lost a bit yesterday and my doctor said that so long as there's no cramping or wetness, we're fine to continue on as normal

At 38 weeks and one day pregnant I went to leave her. I was asking the same questions about my mucous plug. My mucous plug came out in bits. Starting on a Saturday and baby was born Wednesday morning. My labor and contractions came on pretty quickly on and off from Friday to Tuesday. With Tuesday being the most severe, which is why I went to the hospital I was unsure if my mucus plug anything and the doctor said it did not and you could lose your mucous plug multiple times. But it could be a sign that labor is near as it was in my case. Good luck!

I had a cervical check on Wed, and started to lose some of my mucus plug on that day and Fri. I had my baby late Sat.

Well I lost it 5 days ago and still no sign of labor 😅😅

Scan needed at 33 weeks

Hi ladies! I just had a midwife appointment (I am 33+5)..the midwife was different to my usual midwife. She's requested I have a scan within 72 hours as she said baby is measuring a little small, however, she did say that it's likely nothing to worry about and it's probably just her measuring me a bit different to my usual midwife. Has anyone else had this? Am a bit worried although babys heartbeat and movements are completely fine.

normal or infected?

5 weeks post c section , i went at the beginning of the week as my wound had opened completely different area to what’s leaking. was told it didn’t look infected. anyone know if this is normal coming off it, it’s only a little amount at a time

Finding out gender

Has anyone found out the gender at a private scan at 14 weeks? And has this been accurate?

I found out at 17 with my first but I know a scan place that offers from 14/15 weeks and I’m impatient 😂🥲

Baby names

My daughter‘s name is valentýna and I’m struggling to find other nice girl and boy names beginning with V I’ve got a few and I’ve got loads that aren’t beginning with V, but I feel like I wanna go for all vs and I also love girl and boys names that match so because my daughter’s name is valentýna I would love to call my son Valentino my husband does not agree 😃
