My little one had 1 injection in each arm. Before we went I talked through it with her several times; we’ll sit in the waiting room, they’ll call your name, the nurse will ask a few questions and then she’ll do a couple of injections. They’ll hurt for a second but then they won’t hurt and it’s all done. I probably went over it with her 5-6 times leading up to the appointment, and then we got ice cream afterwards… she was more excited about the sticker from the nurse lol but I will say my child isn’t really a crier and very laid back… she also had zero reactions to the jabs

Thank you! That is reassuring. My little boy can be quite emotional so prep definitely sounds like it's key. Maybe kindle as well 🙈

We had 2 done for my daughter on Thursday, one was a combined vaccine polio and some other stuff. There was a top up MMR in her other arm done. She's been fine since, we did a late in the ray appointment and it knocked her out eatly for bedtine. MMR arm has come up red and itchy. I went with my husband as she's a Daddy girl, she sat on his lap and I am 36 weeks pregnant and didn't wanna have to carry her out crying 😂 she was pretty upset and angry after and said she didn't want the sticker but she soon forgot about it when my husband took her in the supermarket next door and got her some sweets 😬 We didn't tell her too much tbh except we were going to the doctors so the doctor can give her some medicine to stop her getting sick.
