So my 7 month old was falling asleep on us (no judgement please, this has happened from an early age and I'm very aware that we want to create a routine where he moves to his own room and goes down sleepy - we have a whole host of other things going on and have been advised to let that settle before trying to change things up) at 8-9 pm and sleeping through til 7-8am. He now goes off about 7, wakes about 8 and is then awake through til about 11 (very unhappy that whole time, cried at me the whole 3 hours last night) and then crashes again only to wake up a couple of hours later for a cry, and then every time he loses his dummy for the rest of the night. Anyone else relate? There is an awful lot of stress coming off me at the moment which I'm sure he feels and I'm trying to manage, but it's there. Nap wise he has wanted more sleep in the day, and at first I thought he might be poorly or teething so let him, with worse results, so now I'm limiting him to an hour in the morning and maybe a bit longer in the afternoon. It's not helping! I'm on my own at the moment and so sleep deprived on top of all the stress, I can feel myself slipping

Oh goodness hard relate, the 7/8 months sleep regression is killer ❤️ Please don’t feel anyone will judge you for cuddling your baby to sleep - I would certainly ignore them if they did! This sounds so so tough and it’s most likely caused by all sorts of developmental things, NOT anything you are doing or your stress. I’m with you, it feels like we’ve tried everything from less day sleep, more day sleep, later bed, earlier bed, more naps, less naps. If you’ve tried it all, I honestly think my best advice would be to ride it out and stop trying to ‘fix’ it. I’ve had to do that as I felt my sanity plummeting. I know it doesn’t make it any easier whatsover, but searching for the answer is truly exhausting, on top of everything else you’re dealing with. Sending you so much love, an unhappy baby is so tough, but sleep has improved before and it will again 🥲❤️

I’m so sorry you are suffering! We are going through a patch of bloody awful sleeping too. I’ve always fed my little one to sleep so I know how you feel, I like to think of it as a good thing though, imagine being cuddled to sleep every night! How lovely! Have we made a rod for our own back? Who knows and who cares, we have given our babies what they need and want ❤️ hope you are okay and that the disturbed sleep goes back to normal very soon, sounds like you are doing a brilliant job ❤️
