My baby has been crying for the past hour and absolutely nothing is working and I'm going insane and want to scream. I've tried the usual holding, feeding, she won't burp, changed nappy, bicycle legs and massage, walking, outside, even the pram around the house.. she barely slept last night and bet she's tired, but isn't sleeping..

How old is she? It could be colic if nothing is calming her down. If her umbilical cord has came off you can try giving her a warm bath and see if that soothes her x

Poor little thing has you tried a dummy š

White noise always works for us. Or I play some nice music we have a cuddle and I gentle sway with her singing quietly to her. This always seems to work.

try rocking her on your shoulder

Have you tried putting her on your chest and singing to her, the vibrations are quit calmly and helped my baby around this age and still do now š„°š„°

Try the happy song Imogen heap. Sounds silly but it was scientifically researched to find the best tempo that babies like⦠it may not work but worth a shot. I really feel your pain, hope she settles soon! Xx

I second the bath, or in the bathroom and run the shower. Or the cooler fan in the kitchen. They do this sometimes try not to panic

Sending you strength because my little guy did this in the beginning and it was so so hard⦠keep trying walking, patting, shushing, re-feeding, bicycle legs, baby wearing, skin to skin in bed under the duvet, walking in pushchair. My husband always used to put headphones on while my son was screaming because he would find the noise too much- you donāt need to listen to baby crying if youāre literally holding them trying to calm them

Reminds me of my lo when he was a newborn. I think itās colic. Try giving infacol (20mins before each feed) or gripewater. Hold baby close to your chest, legs kind of like a frog position, move around slowly side to side and make a calming deep hum noise. The movement can help the gas and the hum should be soothing. Your body will vibrate with the hum and baby will feel it haunts your chest.
These things may not work for everyone, but they really really helped me xx
3 weeks x
yes and she gags and spits it back out š
I try and put her on my chest and she just headbutts me and gets even worse :(
it's hard doing infacol as I BF and she gags and spits it back out with the syringe :( x

Aww bless her. Try a warm bath as that often soothes babies. I heard some mams get in the bath with their babies while breastfeeding them which is also supposed to soothe them x

I bf too. I tried less than the recommended amount, one of my cousins advised he gave a couple drops to her son when he had it. May try that, hopefully baby doesnāt spit that one. Also try squeezing it into the side of the mouth. So the cheek, it will be harder for them to spit it out. I used to squeeze it really quick xx

If youāve got a sling or wrap it might be worth wearing her in that, or try skin to skin? Hope she settles soon. X
I'll try and do it in the side of the kouth instead, thank you!x
a car journey to Asda has seemed to have helped a bit, I'll try some skin to skin when home thank you x
I have always bathed with her as find it better, will do that this afternoon, thanks š

Try to take out all his clothes off. It sometimes may be a clothes that bother. Good luck mama.

These things worked with my baby when she was like that:
-rocking with her on my shoulder with our heads touching and humming
- place them in a blanket grab the corners and swing them like a hammock. She loved that when she was two months.
- on YouTube search thunderstorms and ocean. It usually calmed her right away and then was able to rock her to sleep
-grips water for possible gas
-5 ml of chamomile tea
-putting them in a wrap and walking around. My daughter loved how snug it was

You can try to put her in a sling/carrier. It worked for us.

My baby was like this, I remember the endless hours of crying and how helpless you feel, be kind to yourself your doing amazing! š«¶š¼ sometimes sitting up in my bedroom in the dark with a laser projector on and just some pure skin to skin with her would help slightly. Hers would happen a lot in the evenings/night so I started taking her upto bed earlier and it helped sometimes. Some people may disagree but dancing fruits on YouTube works a treat now for my little one (sheās 6 months) and I remember when she was even smaller it would sometimes help! Xx

Also my baby has silent reflux, a tongue tie which causes her to click on the bottle and take extra air in (despite the tongue tie being cut twice) so would get horrendous gas bless her. We got some gripe water, thereās an organic one which would help slightly too xxx other people I know swear by infacol but it seemed to make my little ones reflux worse xxx

Try massaging the soles of her feet, it helps to release wind and pain in general x also try gripe water in case of griping pain and a tummy massage x

There is a 3 week sleep regression to watch out for x
