Hi everyone. So I’ve just learned that follow on milk isn’t recommended but I’ve got about 5 of the ready-made follow on milk cartons left. Can I use them and move forward with first milk thereafter? Or are they actually harmful in any way and shouldn’t be used at all?

Correct me if wrong, but I don't think health authorities can 'promote' formula milk. So it won't be recommended by the NHS, but not because it is bad. They just have to be neutral. I'd keep them, or use them to mix into baby foods.

you are correct. They follow WHO guidelines which is about breast milk.

You can absolutely use it the only
Difference is it has more iron in, and iron levels deplete at 6 months anyway so it’s fine. If you continue to use it then you can get discounts and loyalty points unlike on stage 1…. It’s illegal for companies to advertise stage 1 milk so they introduced stage 2 or else no company would be able
to advertise x
Thank you so much! I really appreciate you educating me on this!
