Membrane Sweep

I went into labor right after my membrane sweep with my first, when I was 2cm dilated. however I was already 41 weeks and 3 days!

Were you crampy after your cervical check? I got one yesterday (38+5) and I have been crampy and having brownish discharge since. The doc said that was normal but wondering if you think that helped you dilate more? He’s also going to do a “little swirl” for membrane sweep next week so following along. Hope you have baby soon and have the best labor experience ❤️

Wow that’s great you progressed so much in a week!! I had 2 sweeps- one last Friday, another this Tuesday. Cramping and brown discharge too, but no baby yet. I’ve heard it works great for some, and doesn’t work for others. Best of luck, you will do great!! 🥰🥰🥰

@Amy oh wow! They set my induction date to Tuesday at 5am if I haven’t already had him. They told me it could make the natural process to progress more. My mom never had a membrane sweep with me before so I had no clue what to expect honestly.

@Brooke I’ve had some cramping honestly. This membrane sweep was my first one I’ve had during my pregnancy. I mainly just walked around outside and used my ball for 30-45 minutes a day I normally watch Disney movies when I use my ball. I go with the rhythm of the music. And thank you! You too!
