Your first scan should be anywhere between 11-14 weeks - depending on the estimate of conceiving and when they can fit you in, if you haven’t recieved anything and your heading close to the 12 week mark i would call and find out 😊

who books it in for you? I have my midwife appointment over a week but no confirmation on a scan

Your midwife will sort out booking it. You’ll either get a letter or it will pop up on the BadgerNotes app when you get it.

My midwife forgot to put my referral through! You should have been given a card with a load of numbers on and one of them is the 12-week scan number (let me know if you need it). Give it a call and check they’ve received your referral. If they haven’t they’ll arrange the appointment with you on the phone, update badger and send you a letter in the post. 12 and 20 weeks scans are still being held in Andover.

All so helpful thank you so much. I have nothing on the badger notes but I guess that's because I haven't had my first appointment with midwife? I haven't had a card with numbers on it or anything?

If you’ve not had a midwife appointment then you won’t have a scan booked yet. You should have a booking in appointment around 8 weeks, and that’s when they make the referral for the scan and give you a little card with useful numbers on. If you’re getting close to 10 weeks pregnant and haven’t heard anything, call your GP or whoever you made your pregnancy referral with to chase up

Finding out gender

Has anyone found out the gender at a private scan at 14 weeks? And has this been accurate?

I found out at 17 with my first but I know a scan place that offers from 14/15 weeks and I’m impatient 😂🥲

Induction?

Anyone been induced before? Was it more painful? Better than thought? Worse than thought? Worth it? Thoughts?

My daughter‘s name is valentýna and I’m struggling to find other nice girl and boy names beginning with V I’ve got a few and I’ve got loads that aren’t beginning with V, but I feel like I wanna go for all vs and I also love girl and boys names that match so because my daughter’s name is valentýna I would love to call my son Valentino my husband does not agree 😃

Induction or c section?

As a last resort, would you rather be induced or have a planned c section?

Really not liking the thought of being induced from people’s experiences I’ve read!
