For those mummies who are wanting more babies/ had babies before, how have you stored/ packed away items of clothing / car seats and prams etc so they don’t go mouldy?
Thank you!

They need to stay within the house, have you got a cupboard you could use? I've got boxes of clothes behind the TV in my bedroom. Unfortunately I had to bin all big items I stored in the loft like the next to me crib due to mould and I had them all cleaned before storing too x
so I did think about putting them in the loft, but now I’m reconsidering. I do have a spare room so they could go in there.
Have you stored in bin bags? Or vacuum bags before putting in the boxes? X

Just in big boxes like the clip lid ones and they've been absolutely fine, my eldest turned 3 the same month baby was born so newborn stuff had been stored for nearly 3yrs and all felt like new once washed. I would definitely store in the spare room rather than loft.
I was absolutely gutted! I go in our loft quite regularly so I know they were fine when I first got pregnant but when I went to pull them out around 30 weeks we'd had crazy weather and spots of mould were all over a next to me, buggy, bouncer and playmats x

Popped them in auction bags and lobbed into the loft. Need to go through it but just cba there’s so much 😂

We have used the vaccum bags for everything - don’t necessarily vacuum it down for like the pram inserts but we have found the bags themselves to be brilliant. Popped a few sachets of silica gel in the big bits and then we stored in wardrobes and the garage. We have a 5 year gap and everything we kept was absolutely fine.
Thanks mummies!
I’ll pop them all in the spare room.
They are currently in babies room but he needs to go into his own room now
