For those who’s baby didn’t latch/never had a good latch
Do you feel like it’s your fault that “you don’t know how to breastfeed” or feel like YOU don’t know how to position your baby
I feel like that all the time…. Is it just me??? I blame myself everyday because I have to pump

You are amazing.
As someone who is still trying and my baby is still get on breast at least twice daily still no luck , still can’t latch, still triple feeding.
I know deep down I should stop and it’s not working.
So no it’s not your fault and it will never be. Pumping is the hardest thing and we are going the extra mile while we could have chosen formula. we have to accept not all babies can latch
Ps my baby is 5 months old.

I feel exactly the same 😖 I introduced bottle before breastfeeding because no one showed me how to bf and how to latch, and bc baby didn’t latch I thought he will starve if I don’t give him a bottle and because I only started bf a few weeks later he never learned how to properly latch and breastfeed, now he is so used to the bottle that when he was bf he never emptied my breast and I lost my supply so I needed to exclusively bf, I cried so much that day when I had to switch to bottle again, felt like a failure too! And not to mention I HATE pumping and loved that time when he was bf so much even though he was never full and always cried at my boob. It still haunts me a few weeks later now but I try to remember as long as he has my breastmilk and he is satisfied and full that’s all that matters! It’s only for a few months anyway… Don’t be too harsh on yourself, know that you are sacrificing so much to be able to still give him your milk which has incredible benefits for baby!! ❤️
so is mine

Totally get this frustration but know that you did your best! My first baby had a great latch, nursed well but wasn’t gaining weight. He had multiple food allergies so we had to stop breast feeding and put him on special formula. Was hoping to “redeem myself” and my experience with my second but she never had a good latch. I’m exclusively pumping for 5 months now. You do what you can - every baby and every experience will be different!

me too I do triple feeding and it sucks!!
