Wake windows

I have a 6+ week old and struggling to know what to do during her wake windows after her bottle. She’s usually awake for 45-1hour. I currently put her on my chest to get her to do “tummy time” and use sensory cards to get her focusing. But she gets so bored after 5-10 minutes so after that she just lays there watching telly.

Read aloud the books you like and talk face-to-face. Cuddle.

I wouldn't let the baby watch TV myself. We put ours in different places, play mat, on a seat near the window, out for a walk. They're taking so much in, everything is new. Nothing is boring

thank you! Do a lot of talking because she’s all smiles and giggles when we talk to her!

I tend to put something sensory on with lots of colours. We do go for walks but by the time we’re home she’s wide awake and refuses to go to sleep for hours. Yes we have a play mat! Thank you.

my baby was breastfed, so I barely could fit there booby and changing diaper. Until your baby starts rolling you are her best toy and best developmental activity. Don’t worry about development now, she develops communicating with you and being on your arms. Your face is just the sensory card your baby needs to focus. Now concentrate on enjoying as much time with your baby as possible without guilt that you are underdeveloping your baby.

There experiencing the whole world for the first time they can’t really get bored, plus babies will entertain themselves exploring their hands, feet etc probably watching tv because it’s biggest distraction in her eye line

High contrast cards, play her music, read her a book, tummy time with musical toys (the crab is annoying but its really good to get them to raise their heads and maintain them high), swing toys over her head and get her to follow them with her eyes. Also the fisher price piano mat will get her entertained for hours if you let her lol

Leaky nappy help

What nappies are you using to stop leaks?? We use pampers ultra dry size 5, and for the past few nights he has lashed through and we’ve had to completely change him during the night. Last night he leashed through twice!! He sleeps on his front and stays leaks through at the top of his leg where the tabs connect. Didn’t know whether to size up, he has a bit of a belly on him but he’s smack in middle of weight guidance so shouldn’t need too

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

6 month old autistism

My 6 month old makes no eye contact with me and doesn’t respond when I call him. Can this just be a phase or personality trait as apposed to autism

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

5.30am wakeups 😫😴

My 15 week old has started waking up about 5.30am and is really hard to settle back down - it’s like he thinks it’s time to wake up for the day. He used to go to bed at 9pm and was up at 8am but now he goes to bed between 7.30-8pm as he’s knackered by then but waking up at 5.30am😴. Any advice to get him to sleep a little longer in the morning?! Even an extra hour would be lovely 🤣
