We’ve noticed recently that our toddler will randomly walk with one foot turned in or walk on his heel of one foot and not the other, he’ll also put his hands in fists and place them next to his eyes and move his head in circles?
He also doesn’t want to be touched when he’s hurt himself, he’ll scream at me before I can even try comfort him, if I give him space then sit on the floor he’ll come to be eventually for a hug. He’s always asking to be hugged tight, like a proper squeeze around his ribs.
We are really struggling with potty training and he’s three tomorrow, HV says he should be potty trained by now. He’s speech delayed a little bit and only really talks about things he likes (numbers, colours, letters, animals, the park) but getting him to communicate about being wet/dirty, what he wants to eat or his emotions etc is difficult.
Maybe I’m over thinking it but he’s the first grandchild and I don’t have mum friends around who have toddlers.

Your HV is silly. No he shouldn't be fully potty trained by now. Yes it helps but not all children are ready by 3. At least you've started it. X

Sounds very much like my boy- he’s on the waiting list for assessment so don’t know if it’s autism yet either!
