Could it be the let down is too strong?

That’s likely reflux / gas pain. Poor thing.
Can be from fast flow / quick let down.

I had this at 7 weeks too. I realised my milk flow was too fast on one side so I would always move her to the other side. I found it was also wind causing distress which is very common when they are so young. At 7 weeks i found BF the most mentally exhausting because of the wriggling and grunting but now that she is 11 weeks and it’s calmed down a lot I am so so grateful I didn’t stop breast feeding and persevered.
Oh also I started expressing at 6-7 weeks too which was an absolute life saver. If you leave it longer that 8 weeks baby may not take to a bottle and then you’re the only feeder which can be exhausting.
You’ve got this!

❤️

I don’t have a specific recommendation, my LO doesn’t do this, but you could try the national breastfeeding helpline 03001000212 who are open 24/7 for advice

My baby did this about 7 weeks as well! He’s 9 weeks now and completely back to normal? Sometimes I found a position change after he’d had a little break worked to get him to latch again. Hopefully it is just a phase for you too!

I usually stop, burp, and put them back on. My first did this and now my second does too

My little boy does this, it’s usually wind. I do have a heavy let down and fast flow, and he has a tongue tie, poor boy is working hard to keep up 🤣 he is fine again once he burps

Thank you lovely mamas
