Ped told me my baby isn't rolling or attempting to sit because he is chunky. Got to PT but he hates exercises. Everything else is great. He eats well, attempts to talk, and responds great.
Should I be worried?

My friends son is almost 13 months old and still not walking or crawling or even standing up, he is also chunky and hates being forced to do anything. Vs my son who is 12 months today and has been crawling since 6 months and walking since 11 months. Her doctors said they aren’t concerned until 18 months so they aren’t doing any pt until then to see if he learns within time. Babies grow at their own rate, as seen with mine and her son , born just under a month apart. So in my opinion ur babies doing fine and wouldn’t be too concerned until 18 months or longer

Hi, physician here. Keep going to PT and keep doing the exercises. Lots of chunky babies do meet motor milestones and he is delayed. Not trying to be mean just honest. If PT is not helping need to see a specialist about the delay. I would give it 1mo. And I would suggest a different Peds bc this is not a reason and the delay you’re describing is significant.

I never crawled because i was a FAT baby. I went from sitting straight to walking and I'm just fine. I thinned out by the time i was 3/4. I wouldn't worry about it if i were you
