My son is 3 weeks old and my husband is going back to work tomorrow. Over the last week I have felt so overwhelmed, sad, scared, anxious, a sense of nothingness about everything. I have severe health anxiety and it has flared up majorly this week. I am so scared to be on my own to parent tomorrow onwards. I don’t know how I’m going to cope.

Hello, you're not alone. So many of us feel like this 💕 it's the unknown, once you have a few days of doing it you'll see you're more than capable of it and you'll find your own routine and pattern of things that work. Getting out of the house a few times a day really helps me. Have you spoken to a GP? Some CBT might help xx

Hi! Absolutely felt the same, I think it must have been around 3 weeks too. The lack of sleep, husband going back to work and the hormones all kicked me in the bum at the same time! It was definitely the lowest point for me and for a few days was hard to tell if it was postnatal depression or anxiety. Take it day by day, or just hour by hour if you need to and be gentle with yourself. For me things got better within a week or so, but your GP or health visitor should be there if you need help. You’re welcome to message me if you need to chat. X

My husband is going back to work tomorrow too and I’ve been dreading it. I’m trying to see it now as an opportunity to have some normality back and get myself into a routine.
Definitely speak to GP or midwife about how you’re feeling and know you are not alone.
xx

I was the same when my partner went back to work. If you have family you can be around for the time being if definitely recommend that as that really helped me until I found my feet abit more . It gets easier you’ve got this xx
