My baby is 10 months and has his first tooth, he also now has the tendency to bite down on me when feeding, this is both very painful and uncomfortable.
He does drink from a bottle when I’m at work but will only take pumped milk and refuses formula (we’ve tried several brands) only problem is I don’t have the time to pump for each of his feeds especially as he
eats little and often when he’s teething.
Has anyone got any advice how I can start swapping out his breastfeeding for bottles, I’m thinking about keeping night feeds (as long as he doesn’t chomp me too much) for his own comfort as it often helps him settle to sleep.

Do you actually want to quit or just biting is the issue?
Biting is very short lived and only because baby is in pain - I can give you plenty of tips to stop it if that’s the only issue.
No advice on swapping to formula though as baby is still breastfed x

to be honest I don’t mind breastfeeding (except for his chomping) but he’s going to preschool in a couple months and I’ll be working more hours so it’s going to get harder to keep up.
I have tried everything I’ve seen online, using tethers, offering water when he bites, changing position, swapping sides but today especially he’s been biting almost every feed

so preschool isn’t an issue unless you want it to be. At his age he will be fine to take milk from you when you’re together and sustain himself on food and water when you’re apart.
What do you do/ have you done when baby bites how do you react to it? Have you tried teething gel onto the affected gums 10 mins before a feed?
Biting is almost always very short lived and only when baby is teething - they don’t realise that it hurts you just that doing it relieves their pain.
It’s impossible for baby to feed and bite simultaneously so it’s really important to watch baby like a hawk to identify the cue that they’re about to bite.. for some babies this is once they’re full up, for others it’s at the start of a feed for others more random but there will be a cue. When you see it gently unlatch baby and offer a teething toy and try to relatch 5/10 mins later x

I don't know how much it will help but you can try wearing a nipple shield to see if it makes it easier for you. If you've never used one with your baby make sure you rub some breast milk on the nipple and right before you introduce them to it express some milk into the nipple so that they get accustomed to it easier. My son never had a problem with them!

I personally haven’t tried it but a friend of mine had the same
Issue with formula and wanted to stop breast feeding. they mixed breast milk and formula starting with mostly breast milk and then slowly changed the ratio until it was 100% formula. Worked for them
