Implant contraceptive

So I had this and now have gone a month without bleeding. I think it’s the hormones in the body trying to regulate too. When I had it before, I went nearly a year without periods then when it expired they started coming back but thankfully at a regular pace

I went on the implant back in March 3 months postpartum and I bled for 2 months straight then my hormones were all over the place so I decided to come off and I haven’t had a period in about a month, but I will say after the 2 months of bleeding it completely stopped and I had no periods at all, so maybe give it some time to settle in, if it doesn’t improve, contact the clinic and see if there are any other options you can explore 🤍

I had the implant for 9 years before my baby. I bled the first one I got it, for 90 days straight, I had to be put on the pill too to make me stop bleeding. I didn’t realise how unhappy and depressed the implant made me until I had it removed. I got it when I was 14/15yrs old when me and my partner first started dating (still together now). After having it removed I felt so much more myself again and couldn’t believe I’d lived that way for 9 years & spent 1000’s on therapy etc. so just be in tune with how it makes you feel because I regret having it all that time. Everyone is so different though with how their body reacts to hormones, just giving my experience x

I had the implant fitted in feb, I had one small period and nothing else. I was EBF until about 2 months ago, the last month I’ve not stopped bleeding. I’m really hoping it settles soon and it’s just my body adjusting to the implant and the stopping BF as it’s so annoying bleeding every day! I know a lot of others who have the implant and don’t have periods. Im going to give it a few more months to settle down before i consider having it taken out and trying something else x

When I had my first implant fitted the GP told me you’ll either not have a period at all, or you’ll have constant spotting / bleeding. I never had a period when I had the implant and I’ve got another one in now and haven’t had a period since getting it fitted.

I got it too, postpartum, first time I've had it. Am spotting/bleeding almost consistently, just had a couple days "off" then it came back. But I only had 1 full period since (I've put it mid May).

Yeh I had this and they put me on the pill as well to stop it. It’s pretty common with the implant.
