My 4 month old has gotten to a schedule of eat diaper play sleep. The problem is if he only sleeps 30 minutes he still wants 4-6 ounces even if it's only 2 hours since he ate. Im worried he is eating too much but if i wait 3 hours in that situation I would be feeding him to sleep which I don't want. I finally got him to stop depending on a bottle to sleep so I don't wanna reintroduce it. Any tips?

Keep him on the schedule, if he is not hungry he wont eat as much. Better to keep him on the schedule than to break it and confuse him imo

We feed on demand and it works wonders. If baby is gaining an obscene amount of weight then call the pediatrician, but otherwise most babies have intuitive eating built right in. They eat when hungry and stop when full.

It’s almost impossible to overfeed your baby. Just feed him on demand!

one of the free pages on taking cara babies said that it’s eat play sleep but you can still go by the time interval and not do a full play. it can be a single activity before sleeping like a diaper change so it’s not feeding to sleep. scroll a bit and it’s somewhere in the middle:

Feed on demand! Sometimes mine only goes 2 hours, other feeds close to 3 hrs. We feed when he shows he needs more.

I always fed just before sleep because they sleep longer with a full belly. You dont need to feed to sleep though, just feed, then burp and change diaper to wake up a bit so you put them down drowsy. I literally never followed eat play sleep.... with my daughter it was often eat play eat sleep 😂 she would take longer naps so was hungry when waking and hungry before sleeping. I nurse so it's usually more frequent than 3 hours anyway, but still.
