I am not sure what is going on, but from last weekend when my LO turned 6 weeks old, she stopped sleeping 2-3 hrs at night before it’s time for her feed. Now she’ll sleep a few minutes, say between 7 -30 minutes before she wakes up to feed again. I have tried all that I can think of to make her to sleep longer but it’s not just working. During the night as well, she doesn’t sleep deeply and any sound or movement no matter how little wakes her up.
From about 6am or so, she goes back to her normal sleep schedule.
I thought I was sleep deprived before, but I am literally not functioning at this point.
Is this normal?

Around 6 weeks old they go through a developmental leap so you hit a sleep regression, these vary in length for each baby but they should settle down again soon. Babies also don't develop a circadian rhythm like us until 8 weeks ish so this could be playing a part between the confusion of night and day which doesn't help either😅.
I found the first 10-12 weeks is quite a challenge with both of my boys, after this point my first boy was in a pretty good routine that he stuck to, apart from when we hit further regressions/leaps but again temporary, hoping my second boy does the same🤞.
Remember its all a phase and it will pass xx
Another sleep regression? Thank you. I hope it evens out soon
I need to sleep

Unfortunately there is quite a few at various stages up until they are around 3 years old, try and sleep when baby sleeps during the day as much as you can. I know it's easier said than done x

We had this at 4 weeks, he wanted to be on the boob constantly and sometimes for two hours at a time 😱 once we hit 5.5 it started to calm down
2 hrs? Wow
I am hoping it starts to calm down soon

Yep it was killer, was ready to do a runner 🙈😂
