I have my first section in just over a week and I’m getting the last few bits together now, and just wondered how people handled bathing baby?
I’ve always used the angel care seat in our tub but worried about bending over and irritating the wound etc so was thinking about possibly getting on of those fabric flower mats so we can bathe in the sink instead? What did everyone do?
Any advice would be really appreciated, thank you!! 🤍

I had a c section and I just have a baby bath that I can sit on the counter next to the sink so I didn’t have to bent over !
But also for the first several months you can just give them a bath in the sink also

We didn’t bath ours until her cord fell off which wasn’t until around 10-14 days by which point I was feeling a bit more recovered to actually do it. Just made sure that I did it with my partner so in case I struggled he was there. Idk about your bathroom but our toilet is right next to the bath so I could sit on the toilet seat and bend over that way rather than having to kneel on the floor or anything which helped

We waited for her cord to fall off before giving a bath, was around 2 weeks later so had recovered a bit by then and i just knelt on the floor so the bending was pretty minimal

I'm going to give my little girl her first bath this evening, her cord fell off this morning and I wait for that and I also wait due to her skin is still well protected from the waters inside myself ect I had c section and I use a baby bath on the side so no bending xx

I am going to be using a shuggle bath for baby which I can put on changing unit to bath x

We bathed my little one last night for the first time (11 days old). They advise to wait until cord has fallen off. We bathed her in the sink which made it easier not needing to bend however I’m not quite as sore as I was the first week anyway x

I bathed my newborn in the kitchen sink. Until she wouldn't fit anymore.
