My little boy is 3 months now (13 weeks) and he's feeding pretty much every 2 hours, even through the night. He has plenty of wet and soiled nappies and he's generally happy in between feeds. He used to go longer between feeds and sleep a lot longer (3-4 hours, occasionally right through) in the night. I. In the night especially hes only sleeping like an hour and a half and waking up for boob every time unless we cosleep but I can only do that safely once my partner is up for work in the morning. He's always been on the smaller side but a lot of his 0-3 months clothes are still pretty big on him. My mum suggested that i should be going longer between feedings and I'll be honest it's getting pretty exhausting being up at least every 2 hours often less in the night. I asked my health visitor and she gave me the most generic answer ever but I'm still wondering, if it's normal or something I should be keeping an eye on or be concerned about?

He may be growing through a growth spurt, my 16 week old did this! Also bare in mind how hot it is!! We are grabbing a drink of water very often so we are their only source of hydration. Is he waking up and actually drinking or just using your boob as a dummy?

My LO is the same, he slept longer a few weeks ago (was only having 1 feed a night), then for the past several weeks he’s been up every 1.5-2hours.
I gave in and gave him formula on top of a BF at his 11pm feed last night and he slept until 4am!
I’m sure it was just a fluke though as I’ve tried formula before bed before and it’s made zero difference..

I thought the same at first but this has been for nearly 2 weeks now! He's definitely actually feeding every time as I can feel him swallowing and he has a dummy separately for when I put him back down in his moses

I seriously might try that tonight as I'm desperate for more than an hour's sleep at a time 😂

if he’s actually feeding I wouldn’t be worried, he’s clearly just a hungry boy! I have an 18lb 16 week old so I know all about a hungry baby!!!!

yeah, there’s definitely no harm in trying! I BF before the bottle so I know it won’t mess with my supply, but if it works again tonight I think I might just make the switch completely to save my sanity 😬
