Pull ups.. cruisers.. how are they better?;

Everyone says they're great but I'm struggling to get butt ointment on and it's easier with regular diapers. Anyone else? I like how they rip yes but smears and regular diapers you can maneuver around easier. So I don't get it? 🤷🏼 Am I missing something?

I usually get my diapers ready but smearing Vaseline or sudocream in them, rolling them up for my diaper bag for on the go. You can't do that with these cruisers

Well, Pull Ups are meant to be a something to use while potty training. Something similar to underwear, but will prevent messes on the floor if your child doesn’t make it to the bathroom. It’s to help them get used to pulling their pants down, feel like a big kid. And it’s easier to pull everything down rather than pull down/take off pants then take off the diaper. (Which might seem silly to an adult, but can make a world of difference to a small child.)
So thinking about them as just a different type of diaper or a “better” diaper isn’t entirely accurate. They’re meant to help with potty training, and to help prevent messes when a child wets the bed. Most people don’t think about putting diaper ointment on them.

thanks for taking the time to write this! It makes total sense that it'd help kids pull on and off when training as opposed to wearing it just because

I was confused because others are saying it's a game changer but their kids aren't going through potty training, they just wear it because it's easier for them not the kid lol I really appreciate hearing the purpose as you described!

Personally, I wouldn’t use them instead of a diaper on a child that isn’t potty training. They’re more expensive and I don’t find them easier to use. My older daughter is potty training and we tried PullUps, but they felt pointless since she wouldn’t tell us when she needed to go. But I suppose everyone does what is best for them.

I agree with you! They are harder so I thot I was missing something when others told me it was easier. I'm like huh. And they are more expensive

For myself I make sure there's barrier cream because my son's got rash (from daycare not at home) .. so I was wondering how ppl might've been applying it with pull ups. In the hospital a nurse showed me to use the diaper to dip into Vaseline or whatever and dab my son's butt which I find v easy and I continue to do. So anyway I thot I was missing something but you validated me lol thank u

Vanilla extract

Has anyone used alcohol free vanilla in their babies formal to help them drink?
I’m 100% sure my baby refuses her bottles as she doesn’t like the taste of it!

Just anxious to try it, don’t want her to get used to it and then refuse bottles again after two weeks of using (correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve read you use it for 2 weeks max)

TIA 🙂

Car seat crying

My 6 month old PANICS the second I put him in a car seat and screams, cries, chokes and recently even projectile vomited on a 14 minute drive. It’s gotten to the point I don’t even bring him out unless it’s to a doctors appointment. I’m a stay at home mom with no family in my state and it has been very isolating. We’ve tried 3 different car seats with no improvement. Has anyone had a baby who hated the car seat? Any advice? This started at 3 months. I will add it does seem worse when he’s tired. He does cry on every trip though. He only contact naps and co sleeps so he reaches for me and will not sleep in the car seat.

Sex post C section

Hi ladies I’m 4 weeks 5 days postpartum and I had a C section. I’m not bleeding properly anymore just some brownish discharge stuff that starts on and off. I’d like to do the deed with my partner; is it okay to do so or shall I wait the full 6 weeks. I feel up for it but also worried because the advice is 6-8 weeks.

When did you circumcise your baby?
If you DID NOT or DO NOT have a circumcised son DO NOT comment this post is not for you!

Did you wait a certain amount of time or have it done immediately?
Again respectfully, this is only for the parents who choose to do so.
opinions about how not necessary it is will not be appropriate for this post. Thank you in advance. 🩵
