Hey mum!! I am in dire need to understand the nap time/sleep time/feed time windows for a newborn. Currently i am just going with the flow and don’t know how to correct it.
She sleeps for 2-3 hours day time but at nights she is a little fussy and sleeps less. Maybe because she is getting more sleep during the day. But she does not get up from naps easily.
Regarding feedings, how are we doing eat? How many times are we feeding 2 weeks old. She is crossed her birth weight by 400 gms in 2 weeks.
Any help is appreciated.

Honestly I would keep on following babys lead - they say sleep promotes sleep and newborns need a lot of sleep so I don’t think there’s anything as too much sleep in the day for newborns ❤️ I wouldn’t wake her from her daytime naps as she needs the sleep unless you need to feed or change her, if you’re breast feeding then feeding can be unlimited especially if she’s cluster feeding, if bottle then I used to feed my little girl every 3 hours or unless she asked for it sooner. I stopped waking her for feeds in the night once she went over her birth weight and I only woke her for feeds in the day time which meant her bottles usually went to around 6/7 bottles a day sometimes more, hope that helps and one of the most annoying things people told me to do was sleep when baby sleeps and honestly I wish I did that looking back lol

Honestly, at this time a lot of these things are baby led. They know when they are hungry and when they’re tired. As they get older their wake windows will be bigger and a schedule will be more easier to implement

Baby led till about 3 months. At 4 months you can start moving towards a schedule. Takingcarababies.com is a good resource on this stuff. But in the end every baby is different
