Night with a 8 week old

What’s your night like with a 8 week old?

Right now we’re doing bath, bottle & bed after about 8ish
He wakes again about 12 ish
Then 3/4 ish

After that feed we’re struggling to go back to sleep and when he does it’s broken sleep until about 6/7 he’ll then have another big sleep but my 1 year old is up at 7ish 😂

I know all babies are different, I’m just curious 😊

My little ones seems really similar.

Nally change and PJs, feed and sleep. We usually start this around 9 and he's often asleep by 10:30.

He then sleeps till about 1:30

Then usually until 3/4

I find it takes quite a while to get him back to sleep and he usually wakes again at 5ish then again at 6ish.

He then tends to do 7-9ish

Mine is the exact same schedule as yours with my 6.5 week old boy!

Exactly same here with my 6 week old, and also have a 1 yr old that wakes anytime from 6am so basically awake from 4am every morning 👀

I give my little boy a bath at 8.30pm, the bottle in bed at 9/9.30 and he will sleep through until 5/6 have a feed then he wil go back down for another 2 hours (I’m just lucky he loves to sleep 🥹)

We spend as much time as possible outside/walking/in the garden until quite late. The daylight tires her out. She turns into a little witch 9-10pm, usually this is when we bath as it chills her out. Then we change and swaddle, red light, white noise and cluster feed until 11pm. She is always asleep by then. She stays asleep in her moses basket until about 8am. X

so sad we don’t have a garden 😩 have to go out in the pram every time we go outside or the carrier but it’s so sweaty in the carrier haha

My routine is EXACTLY this. WHY don’t they go down properly after that 3 o clock feed?? Hahaha he’s making noises until 5ish so my husband gets up for the day with him 🤣🤣

My routine with my 8 week old is to change, put her in a sleep suit and then dream feed her around 9:30-9:45 at then put her down between 10-10:30. We don't bath her everyday but on the days we do she has a bath around 8pm. She then gets up around 5:30, feed, settle and back to sleep then she sleeps again until about 8/8:30 x

because their digestive system wakes up at this time, so they are often hungrier and their sleep cycles change as their sleep pressures are wearing off. Very annoying, but it's also the same with adults.

That would explain whilst I’m also starving when I feed him hahahaha

Wdy think of this for a toddler to learn word construction?

I'm open to anything else to start teaching him to read and write. He's 3!

Do men really enjoy fellatio?

Been together more than 10 years, but it's been a while since he even seemed remotely interested in me getting on my knees, or vice versa so to speak. I think it was once last year. Must be something I am doing wrong 🤔. Generally everything else in that department is great and we have two young kids with no extra support, so it's quite surprising we can't keep our hands off each other but may need to try new things. It's basically 2 positions each time with some foreplay.

Vanilla extract

Has anyone used alcohol free vanilla in their babies formal to help them drink?
I’m 100% sure my baby refuses her bottles as she doesn’t like the taste of it!

Just anxious to try it, don’t want her to get used to it and then refuse bottles again after two weeks of using (correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve read you use it for 2 weeks max)

TIA 🙂

Naps

How is everyone doing for naps?

Little one is 9 months old and will have 2 half hour naps and one solid 1 hour - 2 hour nap a day

Then settles for night around 9pm. Wakes for a feed around 3:30 then sleeps until 6-7

Car seat crying

My 6 month old PANICS the second I put him in a car seat and screams, cries, chokes and recently even projectile vomited on a 14 minute drive. It’s gotten to the point I don’t even bring him out unless it’s to a doctors appointment. I’m a stay at home mom with no family in my state and it has been very isolating. We’ve tried 3 different car seats with no improvement. Has anyone had a baby who hated the car seat? Any advice? This started at 3 months. I will add it does seem worse when he’s tired. He does cry on every trip though. He only contact naps and co sleeps so he reaches for me and will not sleep in the car seat.

Sex post C section

Hi ladies I’m 4 weeks 5 days postpartum and I had a C section. I’m not bleeding properly anymore just some brownish discharge stuff that starts on and off. I’d like to do the deed with my partner; is it okay to do so or shall I wait the full 6 weeks. I feel up for it but also worried because the advice is 6-8 weeks.
