My LO has a small hard ‘lump’ on the back of skull (can’t see it with my naked eye only feel it) behind the ear ish, about an inch away. I can’t feel the same on the other side and I did a google but now I’ve gotten myself into a state worried about what it could be!
Is it something that can be normal or should I be contacting my GP? Anyone else had the same ??

It's a lymph node. They come when you have a cold or anything. They can last ages. Nothing to worry about x

My little boy has always had some lymph nodes more easy to feel that others since he was born. They’ve been checked by doctors numerous times and they were happy with them as they were below a certain cm and moveable. He’s also got a reactive node that everytime he’s poorly gets a lot bigger behind his ear ish even though that’s bigger that’s also apparently ok. The dr said that they are easier to feel in babies as there’s not much fat/skin xxxx

Lymph node, as others have said. My son had loads when he was a newborn and I asked a GP and a paediatrician and they both said its normal and nothing to be concerned about. X

hi!! I know this was a while ago but I was wondering that when you said loads, how many? As my baby has 2 lumps on one side and one on the other! Is that something similar? Sorry I’m a worried mama X

We are still in the same situation, they are still there but told lots and lots nothing to worry about. Just they are easier to feel in some babies! Xxxxx

@Aimee my son still has some of them but I think at one point there was at least 3 on each side! Have you googled the lymph nodes in the head? There's quite a lot of them so normal to feel a couple x

The doctor said if they were large in size and hard and not moveable to get them checked. Again like has said if you google it shows you where they are xxxxxx
