I’m struggling at the moment with the 1 nap transition, been doing 1 nap for about 3/4 weeks now and it’s working good for the baby, she’s going down about 11:30am till 1/1:30pm then sleeping through at night. But my issue is I’m really struggling with the feeling I’m nap trapped, I start work at 3pm after my partner gets home so I feel like once she wakes up I havnt got the time to take her anywhere, if I take her somewhere before her nap she absolutely loves falling asleep in the car seat within minutes, so she’d then have to have a second nap of the day which would then mean she’d be up till 9pm ish 😂(no thanks)
She used to have her little morning nap then we’d go out for the morning/afternoon until her second nap and I’d love taking her places and meeting up with friends and family. Now I just feel like I’m trapped in the house or walks just me and her, im finding it hard mentally I’ve always loved getting out the house. Is anyone else feeling the same or have tips to keep her awake in the car seat 😂?
Also this week she’s become soooooooooo whingey and having mini melt downs about absolutely anything, even in her trike on walks, she’s not walking yet so I don’t know if she’s getting frustrated with that but is anyone else having a simlar thing?
Sorry for the rant ✌🏼

I don't have any tips but I'm in a similar situation. We've been on 1 for around 6 months. Over the last month my boy wakes up and within 2/3 hours he is desperate for a nap again, but we experience a grumpy boy until he gets that nap. Around 10 he naps and can last 1/2 hours. Trouble is I can't go anywhere in the morning, 1 because he is so grumpy but 2 because he will fall asleep in the car. What I tend to do is go for a little walk in the morning just to get some fresh air. We plan to meet friends around 12/12.30, once he is awake, sometimes we go out for lunch (free kids meal due to half term) or we meet friends for a picnic. But we then have all afternoon to go onto other things, soft play etc. I think your a little trapped because the time you start work....could you arrange for friends to come to yours for lunch, so you get some social time etc before you then go to work. It's so hard. Just remember, babies don't nap forever so hopefully they stage will soon pass x

heyyyy! So does your boy last then from 12 ish till bedtime? When I first cut her down to one nap I was doing it in the morning exactly like you and it seemed to work but then I felt tight dragging her all the way to bed time. But atleast I’d have a couple of hours with her todo something before work, so I might start trying that out again 🤞🏼yes the time I start work is shite 😂 just means we don’t have to pay for childcare, like you said though this doesn’t last forever I just struggle not leaving the house apart from our morning walks which she seems to moan on half way around now 😂🤦♀️xx
