Has anyone had a home birth or an experience with a midwife- what were the steps of going this route and price ranges/ experiences. I’m interested for a future birth to be out of a hospital setting.

I used midwives at a hospital for my first and will be going to the water birth center this time around. So far the experience has been mostly positive. I didn't start care there until into the second trimester and will likely have more to say in a month or so when baby actually arrives

Gave birth last month at Alma midwifery
how was your experience with them? If you don’t mind sharing of course. ☺️

It was fantastic. From beginning to end. Very professional, holistic, nurturing midwives. I gave birth at the center 7/27/24 at 40w+6d,39 yo, unmedicated vaginal birth. Had all my prenatal appts at Alma, as well as, up to 6 weeks postpartum/baby wellness appt. My partner and I had a wonderful experience
I love to hear that!! Thank you for sharing your experience with them. I want to experience something like that. I had a terrible birth experience at the hospital and I don’t want to redo that in the future.
As far as costs go are their rates pretty manageable?
