Hi, my baby is almost 5 months old and has never had reflux however the last month or so she is constantly throwing up, not just spit up either like it’s a considerable amount. She’s also very fidgety during the bottle which I put down to her being nosy now I think is it something else, she grunts a lot after a bottle and seems generally uncomfortable which again has only shown up in the last month or so. I have got a dr appointment for her but wondered if anyone could help or give me any ideas on what could be wrong as my mum instinct is telling me something isn’t right xx

Babies are funny little things they literally change all the time. Eating habits, nappies, sleep, things they are interested in etc etc! Have you upped how much she is having recently? Xx

Yes a couple of days ago actually because she was finishing 6 and still wanting more so upped to 7oz xxx

It could even be that, that little bit extra could just be making her a little uncomfortable (even though she wants it!) might be worth stopping and giving her a break part way through feeding and going back to it. Obviously I don’t know if that’s the exact reason but it could be contributing xx

Our LG has been like this for the last 3/4 weeks we were told by a HV it's probably down to teething, producing more saliva and moving around more. We have been going through so many muslins/ bibs and outfits a day 🥴 Todays actually been the 1st day since it started that she's only been sick once so I'm hoping it's starting to pass x

Reflux peaks at 4 - 6 months and even if babies never suffered before, they can suddenly suffer.
My baby unfortunately has always had reflux and these are all the signs, we have baby gaviscon and anti reflux formula - it works well and we pace feed and keep her upright 20 mins after a bottle and really wind her as she gets delayed wind which ends in sickness too.
Hope it doesn’t last too long, reflux is horrible xx

I didn't know that about 4-6months I wonder if that's what's been wrong with my little one 🙈 x
