I swear this child tests me everyday. Trying to tell him not to do something because it’s unsafe and he starts screaming at the top of his lungs. Child if you don’t stop before I knock you over 😭🥴

my son is the same.. 😭😭

Yes!! And I’ll have something small I missed when I’m cleaning and she knows she isn’t supposed to have it because she wants me to chase her and then when I take it, she screams bloody murder and I’m sure the neighbors hear her😭

I find it's probably.... A better approach to give them something that they can have if they grab something that they can't have
Like if he grabs my phone.... Hand him his toy phone instead
he wants to climb bookshelves and furniture, he has his own table and chairs his size that he likes to flip upside down and push them around instead of using them. The amount of times I say “no” in one day is ridiculous

My son likes climbing things. We just watch him and make sure he's safe

We may try the not saying no approach

Show him spaces that are safer for things

There's a really good story reading I saw on YouTube.
Stay wild my child.
Mom teaching her daughter that there is a place for everything, better setting for climbing and other things that are less desired in " proper" settings

I am in the same boat. My little girl is 14 months as well. She likes to drag the coffee table and her playpen around the house. She tries to climb up the tv stand/bookshelf. Wants to play with and chew on everything but her toys. All day it is no, stop, leave that alone. I find giving her a replacement or playing with her helps.
Thankfully we’ve got a baby gate up to keep him in the living room but he’s still so bad 😂 We live with my mom and she won’t baby proof the rest of the house. Glassware/breakable stuff everywhere within reach of my thrower. Once we’re on our own he’ll likely have free reign over the house since I’ll be locking all cabinets 😂

We just give him free reign in certain areas with supervision

If we have to step away from him , he has a toddler playpen that only has toys in it

That and his crib are safe spaces if we have to step away from watching him
