My son has been wetting through his clothes consistently during the night for a few weeks now, does anyone have advice on how to prevent leakage? I don’t want to change his diaper throughout the night because it will wake him and be hard to put him back down. I have tried sizing up, changing brands and he still leaks always on the same side too.

Is he maybe too cold? They’ll wet the diaper more to try and keep warm
I keep the house at 70 and he is in a sleeper and sleep sack so I don’t think so but maybe he is. I’m just paranoid of him overheating.

Do you make sure to point his hose down? 😅
lol yes i definitely do 😂

Have you tried nighttime diapers?
I have not, maybe I will give them a try.

I had to move my son up a size in diaper when this started happening. He’s currently 4.5 months in a size 4 Huggies diaper.
He has a unique shape - a thick belly with a pretty slim waist and thick legs - so the diapers fit a little “long” but not wide if that makes sense. So he leaks through the top/sides regardless of where he’s pointing.
The bigger size diaper allows it to wrap completely around his waist and legs touching the front of the diaper to the back of the diaper - then I just flip the top of the diaper down or let it cover the bottom of his belly button until he gets bigger. Basically, I size off the sides touching not so much the Velcro spots on the waist.
Idk if any of that made sense but Lmk if this helped. 🤣

How often does he wake up at night? When my LO wakes up, I'll get the bottle, change his diaper, give him gripe water, and then I'll give him the bottle. He'll usually fall asleep right after he finishes.
he wakes up one or two times to nurse but he is not fully awake. If I were to change his diaper he would stay awake for another hour or two.

Really? Oh wow. Have you tried nighttime gripe water? I only use it at night, and it's helped us get on a schedule. But it's also helpful when getting him back to sleep after his bottle.

Coterie diapers are the best we had a similar issue until we switched for night time. We don’t have this issue anymore. They are super absorbent. Hope this helps!
