Where does baby sleep during the day when they are too big for a moses basket

3 month old is now too big for the moses basket and keeps waking herself up. Where are you putting baby during the day (nhs says same room until 6 months) but our bedroom is next door to the living room) and what are you using instead of the moses basket?

My 3 month old is in next to me crib from around a month ago which I keep in living room and then has a cot in the bedroom for night… you could try moving next to me in the day and then back to room at night think this is what a lot of people do x

How are you getting your babies to nap not on you? Mine never has during the day 😬

My little girl has a next to me crib which she sleeps in when in our bedroom, upstairs in her nursery she also has a cot which we have used for naps since small. Downstairs we have a swinging crib which she will then sleep in so all depends where we are. When she out grows this we have a travel cot from our 2.5 year old which she will then use to nap in and of course play in when she starts to sit up etc x

Our boy sleeps either on us, on his beanbag or just on the couch but same as others it’s hard to get him to nap at times

@Alex not to judge at all, but please be really careful with sleeping on the sofa and bean bag etc, lots of tragedies have happened like this 🥲 sent with love x

@Cerise 100%! he is never alone like this, we are always there - it’s the only place he’ll actually sleep😥

If she’s not napping on me, I put my little girl in her next to me in the bedroom, I just keep the baby monitor with me so I can keep an eye on her xx

@Sophie me too don't worry 😂

Pram

We’re borderline too big for the Moses basket so pram! I’m not ready for naps to be upstairs yet 🙈

My little girl only naps for like 20-40 mins recently so she just sleeps on me cos by the time I get her to sleep in her next to me she's awake lol x

@Sophie I had to start training her to sleep in the Moses basket I’d let her fall asleep and then transfer her . And sit a chair next to the basket and pat her. The more I tried the last time I need to sleep at her. Took a good two weeks to get her to stop contact napping. Wanted to establish this before the 4 month sleep regression

Mine was napping in the pram during the day but now I've started trying to get all naps (if we're home) to be in his next to me crib in the bedroom with the monitor on

@Lauren I just put him in next to me crib too :) upstairs out of the way but with video baby monitor

We’ve never used a Moses basket as I didn’t see the point with them outgrowing them so quickly, we use the carrycot from the pram on a Moses basket stand

I have a swing cot in the living room I use but trying to do lunchtime nap in his big cot in nursery room with baby monitor on to get him used to it. Also leave him in his pram bassinet if falls asleep in there during walks

Next to me of a night time, sofa or pram of a day, sometimes on me. We have a foot stool that connects to the sofa and then I just make sure there are cushions around if I go the toilet etc. but to be honest she’s never out of my sight so the sofa is perfectly safe for me x
