I’m confused

Hey ladies, my boyfriend and I are wanting to have kids and we tried on the 1st of August. That 2 week wait was awful. I was experiencing what other women were, and then on the 23rd I started bleeding and it was red, but not period red, it wasn’t heavy. It didn’t FEEL like my usual period. Plus I was a week late. My bleeding lightened up to pink then to brown yesterday and the day before. I’m lost… I felt so many symptoms and I’m confused on what’s happening. It’s been on my mind for days and it’s affecting my mentality. It’s noticeable too… can any of you help me?

Yes, but they were all early for me. They weren’t positive. But it didn’t stop my symptoms

that’s what I think, but we aren’t sure. I had all three regular symptoms and none of them were my period symptoms

I’d book a gp appointment and get a blood test done to check if you’re pregnant x

Unfortunately period and implantation symptoms often mimic each other, especially when you really want to be pregnant. I would highly suggest doing ovulation tracking on an app and also the digital ovulation tests to tell you your best fertile window (they are more expensive than the sticks but easier to read), espescially over the course of a few months to really pinpoint when is peak. Keep your chin up, it’s very emotional but found the more positive you are the easier it is to get through. We conceived relatively easily the first time (2nd of third cycle) and took a year the second so just remember to run your own race and don’t get too disheartened if it doesn’t happen immediately, it will eventually!🩷🩷🩷

Sometimes I feel like we can get in our head when we really want to be pregnant. It usually takes a while to happen. I know for me, even though I knew logically it was unlikely to happen straight away, after every month trying I would be convinced I was pregnant and feel/notice all the symptoms. The truth is a lot of the time there are no symptoms til after a positive test and the pressure and stress can cause you to be late. Before pregnancy I had a few months where I was unsure if I had a chemical or if I had implantation bleeding but when I actually got pregnant I had a pretty sure positive test on the cheap test strips 4 days before my period was due. I would try not to overthink it and hold off testing too early. It happened for us when we werent thinking about it and the pressure was off and I know for a lot of our friends it was the same!

Sounds like you had a period, the lateness can be caused by sex and stress which probably came from the worry you put on your body hoping to be pregnant. Just give it time, God will bless you when it’s the right time!

so you think it’s implanted?

If my boyfriend and I tried to conceive twice, would that possible as well? We tried on the 1st and then the 9th.

It took me five years to conceive so the only advice I can give you is don't give up hope. I had given up and cried so many times because I thought it would never happen and that something was wrong with me even though my dr couldn't find anything wrong. Just keep trying and I'll keep my fingers crossed for you 🤞

Hello , I agree with the ladies in the comments. It could be implantation bleeding but it could also be spotting from a period. Stress can definitely affect your periods and so can pregnancy. I would recommend checking in with your doctor/provider. ❤️🩷💚 Good luck on your pregnancy goals !!! 💗💯

I’m 29 weeks pregnant and having really aching legs and they’re all lumpy and swollen. Above the knee and behind the knee . Should I be worried ? My legs have never looked like this up until a few days ago. ??

Doctors appt horror stories

I got peed on at my one month olds doctors appointment and I wanted to see if others had similar experiences. It was just hilarious but also like whyyyy! Also jeez those doctors seem to be so rough when they’re pressing on the baby’s stomach and just moving them around checking their muscles and stuff.

Induction experience

I just wanted to share my experience with being induced as I wasn’t sure what to expect and thought it may help others.

I opted for the foley balloon which was inserted at 8am Saturday morning, I had to stay in hospital due to hypertension and protein urine however usually you can just go home once this has been done. The insertion of the balloon was not painful, was slightly uncomfortable as there was slight pressure. I actually found having the cervix checked prior to be worse (again not painful at this point just uncomfortable) The balloon had little effect and after having it removed I was still only 1cm. Removal also was pain free and hardly even noticeable.

I then had my first dose of the gel and definitely noticed a difference, I started experiencing period like cramps almost immediately however they were light and manageable. After 6 hours I had another cervix check and although my cervix was soft it was still only 1cm and was only open at the front. I had another dose of the gel and felt an increase in pressure and more intense cramping where I now required pain relief (codeine). After another 6 hours I had another cervix check and I had now dilated to 2-3cm however was still quite difficult to get all the way through so a third gel was recommended which I agreed to.

Almost immediately I noticed the difference and was in considerable pain, I had paracetamol and codeine however the contractions had now become intense and a lot closer together (around 3 minutes apart). After a couple of hours I had my last cervix check and was 4cm and taken down to the Labour ward to have my waters broken and an epidural.

I had been in my room for approx 20minutes when my waters broke by themselves and I was now 10cm and actively pushing…. There was no time for the epidural and my beautiful girl arrived into the world within 2 minutes of pushing.

All in all I would say the cramps/contractions were manageable up until the third gel where it became pretty unbearable however it was for a very short time a gas and air helped take the edge off. The worst part about any of it was actually the later cervix checks where after stimulating the cervix my contractions were at their most painful.

If I had to be induced again I would skip the balloon and opt for the gels immediately as thy had a quicker effect and I would have been out a lot sooner if I had done this to begin with.

One more thing, I’ve never believed when people say “you forget the pain once they’re here” but I can honestly say this is true. It’s been 4 days and I would do it all again in a heartbeat.
