Early terrible 2’s !

Anyone else’s toddler having regular tantrums when they can’t get their way or when you stop them from doing something they shouldn’t be doing. My 18month old screams soo loud & then she throw whatever is next to her e.g her toys, things on her table or her tricycle. She even hits things then she calms down but happens on a regular lately.

SAME! Started last week. Also hits me in the face. I tried it the gentle way but my child is not the gentle type..I introduced the “naughty chair” now..he does calm down as I count down from a minute, so at least this works for now 😂 whether he gets it is another thing lol x give us strength!

Best thing to do is ignoring the bad behaviour they will stop my son does the same as above even gone as far as slapping me had to take him with me to a hospital appointment and he slapped the knee of the female doctor embarrassing 😳they will repeat bad behaviour when they get a reaction

yes she hits me too! The naughty chair would never work for my LO since she would either scream & cry or just get back up

Avatar

oh no! I try not to react or anything, but she seems to still do it. She wants the attention & reaction. Just hope this phase passes soon

That’s what I thought. I kept putting him back on it and within a minute he was calm again. But whatever works really. I think it’s about consistency and it’s developmental

Do you take him to children centers to play and interact with kids his age your health visitor could tell you about places that host it near you I found that that has really helped with his behaviour

I do already but she only has her tantrums mainly at home

Yes so so bad! Just screams and fake crys throws himself on the floor everything! My 3 year old was never like this either☹️

Leaky nappy help

What nappies are you using to stop leaks?? We use pampers ultra dry size 5, and for the past few nights he has lashed through and we’ve had to completely change him during the night. Last night he leashed through twice!! He sleeps on his front and stays leaks through at the top of his leg where the tabs connect. Didn’t know whether to size up, he has a bit of a belly on him but he’s smack in middle of weight guidance so shouldn’t need too

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

6 month old autistism

My 6 month old makes no eye contact with me and doesn’t respond when I call him. Can this just be a phase or personality trait as apposed to autism

5.30am wakeups 😫😴

My 15 week old has started waking up about 5.30am and is really hard to settle back down - it’s like he thinks it’s time to wake up for the day. He used to go to bed at 9pm and was up at 8am but now he goes to bed between 7.30-8pm as he’s knackered by then but waking up at 5.30am😴. Any advice to get him to sleep a little longer in the morning?! Even an extra hour would be lovely 🤣
