Has your child had an imaginary friend called "Bobo"?

Our 21 month old daughter is scared of something she calls bobo. We looked up the name and came across a Slavic myth about a demonic creature that is used to scare children. She saw a picture of the demon on google and said it was bobo. We came across some reddit posts about other children having imaginary friends called "bobo". Just polling to see if anyone's children has had a "bobo" friend.

No but set up better parental controls on whatever device she uses. It’ll suck for everyone if she starts having nightmares.

Bobo is what my daughter calls her bunny teddy. I think it’s just an easy name/sound to make xx

Bobo is what we call our babies pacifier 😂 but this is scary , animals and little kids are known to be able to see the spiritual realm though so I personally would take it serious and just observe my baby and energy . I’ve had some encounters, I wouldn’t have showed them a picture of the demon though , that could be a bit disturbing for a mind of a child .

A couple years ago there was a YouTube thing that was scary. It was inserted into kids YouTube and was a scary lady and I believe it was a similar name, maybe mojo? I’m sure there are articles about it. I’d lock down the device or remove entirely for awhile.

Ummm might be time to figure out an exit plan for Bobo 😆 I would be terrified, but get some selenite, black tourmaline, cedar, holy water, idk whatever your cup of tea is, and energetically protect your daughter! Good luck 👍

yes that thing terrified me!!

i actually think she’s seeing a demonic creature.. kids don’t just come up with stuff like this and it’s said that young kids can see spirits/demons. it’s important parents pray for their kids for this exact reason there’s a lot that happens in the spiritual realm that we don’t/can’t see

if i were you i wouldn’t even be taking the chance of it just being an imaginary friend, i’d be rebuking and commanding any demonic spirit out of my house immediately and praying for God’s protection. hell no that’s too scary

Avatar

girl lol that’s insane
Of COURSE kids “just come up with stuff”
That’s like half of what kids do…

Don’t show your daughter pictures of random scary shit and give faces for her imaginary nightmares?? She will grow out of it and be fine

Avatar

Omg that’s what my mum used to scare me with when I was little there was a cartoon I used to watch when I was a kid (I’m polish) and basically the bad person in the cartoon was called bobo from what I remember it was just like a black cloak with yellow eyes and a witches hat but my mum used to say if I don’t do something bobo will come ahaha

Avatar

No but when baby was still in the womb we called him Bobo 😭 explains a lot 😅

Avatar

yeah they do but when it comes to monsters and scary things that they’ve never seen or been introduced to you don’t wonder why? i remember being a kid and being scared all the time cause i could feel bad presences in my house.. either way my reply won’t make sense to you if you don’t believe in demons and spiritual things 🤷🏻‍♀️

Okay see this is one reason I believe ghosts/spirits are real and animals and kids can see them cause I used to have a "imaginary friend" I called steve he was a tall figure with a top hat well a few months ago I came across a video on TikTok talking about the man in the hat and it showed a picture of how most people see him and wouldn't ya know it the picture was exactly how I would see steve

Avatar

I read through the comments on the video I saw and apparently he's seen a lot by people who lived in toxic house holds and is just there to help the person feel not so alone however seeing that made me curious about the other thing I would see as a child and researched it and turned to find out a lot of people saw her as well and had similar experiences as I did it was this woman with black scraggly hair who'd always crawl on all fours but to where her back was facing the floor yet her head would be to where it looked like she was up right and she'd always crawl to the side of my bed and disappear I always got a very bad feeling when I saw her and the first time I saw her I she was really fast and I thought she was a rat most people call her the hag

Avatar

@Mary ugh I've heard of the hag - so freaking scary... 😩

We call her paci bobo or chupon
Are you Latinos? Or is anyone around you? It also means dumb

Hour night wakes and 5am get up

Can anyone shed some light as to why on earth my child doesn’t want to sleep??? My eyeballs are bleeding!!

Never been a good sleeper, but the problems always changing. He’s nearly 9 months old.

Beginning of the month he dropped to 2 naps. We could put him to bed at 7pm and he’d get up for the day at 6am, with multiple wake ups every 2/3 hours.

Now we put him down at 7pm, he can do a good 4/5 hour stretch, but come 1/2am he’s up every hour then getting up for the day at 5am. This then completely messes up the day because I can’t keep him awake long enough to even get to 7pm, let alone later.

He has 2 naps, roughly about 1hr10 each but it changed based on when he wakes and trying to get him to a reasonable bed time.

What could be the reason for this? 6am is fine, but 5am is not 😩😩

AITA

In the uk there is an outbreak of meningitis, in a specific area mainly. My BD has family from that area and decided to go and meet up with them, I said if he does then he cannot have contact with the kids for 7-10 days after incase he picks anything up. Am I being over dramatic? I reallyyy don’t want my young kids getting anything serious

I think its fair

Me and my partner agreed to sleep in 1 day of the weekend.
He doesn't find it fair to look after both kids (my 4 year old isnt his) while i sleep so he looks after the baby while i sleep and my toddlers at his dads and ill look after both the next day.
Straightaway it was pretty unfair as i let him sleep in until he wakes up 10-12
He wakes me up when baby starts fussing because he wants milk (doesnt need it)
I cant pump as i dont supply enough.
So i get woken at 9/9:30 to feed baby then i get him sleep then theres no point sleeping in as my toddlers being dropped off.
I also find it unfair that i get both kids to sleep most night, i get my toddler to sleep everyday hes home (4/5days) and i get my baby to sleep most nights with the exception of maybe twice a month as his dad struggless then about 95% of his thru the day naps.
I have also been unwell for a few months (tumor scare) and am waiting 18 weeks to see a specialist so im obviously petrified for that, so unbelievably tired and alot of aches and pains, specifically these pounding headaches ive been having.
After i had been up til 11:30 getting both kids to sleep lastnight and my partner falling asleep at 10 then him ignoring the baby cries all morning until my toddler woke up im fed up slammed to door and rold him not to expect to sleep in unless he gets the baby to sleep the night b4.
I keep having issues with him not feeling the wet from baby being sick or weeing himself or being able to smell it do about 98% of the time hes given to me i have to clean him up n change him.
Including at night, we agreed my partner would change nappies (1 a night at 5am) while i feed (2,4,5,6:30) but every night when i get him hes pissed through and my partner gets annoyed when i wake him up n moan about it.
Then the morning after hes annoyed at how much washing there is (thats his job) and moans about how often i change myself (baby constantly shits thru and sicks on me) and baby
Honestly im just so tired all the time

Over supply of milk

I am nearly 5weeks postpartum and I have such a big over supply of BM.
Has anyone donated / sold their supply, if so where do you recommend for this?

Crawling and walking

So my girl is 9 months now and shes great at sitting up and stays on her tummy for awhile but she seems to have no interest in trying to move or crawl or bum shuffle. Shes a big baby always has been but I'm disabled and I feel like it's my fault she's not hitting milestones I feel like there's something I'm not doing and it's making me a bad mum

Night feeding in sleeping bag

Do you guys keep your baby in their sleeping bag when you feed them in the night, or do you take it off? I take it off as don’t want him to be too hot but then sometimes when he’s sleepy after his feed and I go to put it back on him he wakes up and is fussy. Not sure if I should just keep him in it?
