Has your child had an imaginary friend called "Bobo"?

Our 21 month old daughter is scared of something she calls bobo. We looked up the name and came across a Slavic myth about a demonic creature that is used to scare children. She saw a picture of the demon on google and said it was bobo. We came across some reddit posts about other children having imaginary friends called "bobo". Just polling to see if anyone's children has had a "bobo" friend.

No but set up better parental controls on whatever device she uses. It’ll suck for everyone if she starts having nightmares.

Bobo is what my daughter calls her bunny teddy. I think it’s just an easy name/sound to make xx

Bobo is what we call our babies pacifier 😂 but this is scary , animals and little kids are known to be able to see the spiritual realm though so I personally would take it serious and just observe my baby and energy . I’ve had some encounters, I wouldn’t have showed them a picture of the demon though , that could be a bit disturbing for a mind of a child .

A couple years ago there was a YouTube thing that was scary. It was inserted into kids YouTube and was a scary lady and I believe it was a similar name, maybe mojo? I’m sure there are articles about it. I’d lock down the device or remove entirely for awhile.

Ummm might be time to figure out an exit plan for Bobo 😆 I would be terrified, but get some selenite, black tourmaline, cedar, holy water, idk whatever your cup of tea is, and energetically protect your daughter! Good luck 👍

i actually think she’s seeing a demonic creature.. kids don’t just come up with stuff like this and it’s said that young kids can see spirits/demons. it’s important parents pray for their kids for this exact reason there’s a lot that happens in the spiritual realm that we don’t/can’t see

if i were you i wouldn’t even be taking the chance of it just being an imaginary friend, i’d be rebuking and commanding any demonic spirit out of my house immediately and praying for God’s protection. hell no that’s too scary

Omg that’s what my mum used to scare me with when I was little there was a cartoon I used to watch when I was a kid (I’m polish) and basically the bad person in the cartoon was called bobo from what I remember it was just like a black cloak with yellow eyes and a witches hat but my mum used to say if I don’t do something bobo will come ahaha

No but when baby was still in the womb we called him Bobo 😭 explains a lot 😅

@Trish yeah they do but when it comes to monsters and scary things that they’ve never seen or been introduced to you don’t wonder why? i remember being a kid and being scared all the time cause i could feel bad presences in my house.. either way my reply won’t make sense to you if you don’t believe in demons and spiritual things 🤷🏻‍♀️

Okay see this is one reason I believe ghosts/spirits are real and animals and kids can see them cause I used to have a "imaginary friend" I called steve he was a tall figure with a top hat well a few months ago I came across a video on TikTok talking about the man in the hat and it showed a picture of how most people see him and wouldn't ya know it the picture was exactly how I would see steve

@Patience I read through the comments on the video I saw and apparently he's seen a lot by people who lived in toxic house holds and is just there to help the person feel not so alone however seeing that made me curious about the other thing I would see as a child and researched it and turned to find out a lot of people saw her as well and had similar experiences as I did it was this woman with black scraggly hair who'd always crawl on all fours but to where her back was facing the floor yet her head would be to where it looked like she was up right and she'd always crawl to the side of my bed and disappear I always got a very bad feeling when I saw her and the first time I saw her I she was really fast and I thought she was a rat most people call her the hag

Friendships after a baby

Hi. I hope no-one minds me asking on here, I just don't know what to do.
I had a close work colleague/friend that I would tell everything too (she helped me a lot with my mental health when we were struggling to conceive) We've been work colleagues for a couple of years but really good friends for the last year or so (we spent a lot of time doing walks/coffees etc last year)
However since having my baby she's gone very quiet (she has got some personal things going on as well and she has always been terrible at replying to any messages)
Since being on maternity, I've messaged to check on her, I'm mentioned about meeting up and even suggested some dates but nothing. My husband thinks I should just draw a line in the sand as I've been making all the effort and getting nothing in return. I don't want to force her to be my friend. It upsets me a lot that she doesn't contact me as I thought we were close.
I guess my question is, do I give her longer? If not, do I message to explain and not just go radiosilent.
I'm a very conscientious person and I overthink a lot of things but surely if she is just busy with life I should give her a reason as to why I stopped messaging her??

Thank you if you've read this far. My mental health is not great right now and this upsets me greatly that I think I've lost my closest friend.

Putting oats/rice cereal in babies milk

My son just turned 6 months and I’m trying to get him to sleep better and longer at night and I have been told that putting a spoon of oats or rice cereal in his milk will help as it thickens the milk and makes him feel fuller to sleep longer, thoughts?

Overwhelming MIL

Hi ladies, just wondering if any of you have had to deal with/have any advice for an overwhelming MIL. For context, she lives 5 mins away whilst all my family love 3.5 hours away so we barely see them.

Ever since I've gotten pregnant my MIL has been more overwhelming than usual, (we have had run ins in the past due to crossed boundaries). She's gotten into the habit of saying "my baby" so things like "How's my baby?" "I bought this for my baby?" "When my baby is here" and I find it really uncomfortable.

We've tried correcting her but she just laughs it off and says "just wait until shes here, you'll see, she'll be my baby" and it worries me that when baby is here (due September) I will be at my most vulnerable and won't be able to deal with this behaviour.

My husband is lovely and he tries his best but whenever we set boundaries, it's almost as if she pushes to try and break them on purpose. Any advice on how to manage this? Or how to make life more bearable? There have been a few other red flags from her (purposely coming near me when she smokes, demanding every scan photo etc) but I don't want to/have the energy to cause arguments...help!

Co sleeping

I keep falling asleep while feeding my 7 week old and I wake up to him asleep on my chest. The problem now is that it’s very very difficult to get him to sleep in his Moses basket. He wakes up as soon as I put him down. I’m finding it very difficult to stay awake while feeding and I wanna make sure he’s safe. He’s also developed a heat rash all over his chest neck and face which I’m pretty sure is from sleeping on me. So another reason I wanna stop. Just don’t know how. Any suggestions

Baby bouncer

So my LO has reached the weight limit for her bouncer which I pop her in when I’m in the bath of shower… any one know of any that can hold larger weight?

I have made posts on here few times about how my now 12 week old baby sleeps rubbish at night, wakes every 3 hours for a feed and inbetween he cries from gas and fidgets. My partner works 4am shifts during the week and sleeps in our 2nd bedroom (which will eventually be nursery) then on weekends he gives me 2 nights off and he does the night shifts. This is the 2nd time now since he’s done the night shift where my baby literally has gone 7/8 hours without waking… HOW?!! He literally could NEVER with me. He was last fed around 7:15pm and didn’t wake until 3am and has just woke 7am for feeds, I’m happy my boyfriend got sleep but genuinely I wake up everyday from no sleep, I wake every hour or so normally… I’m actually just feeling pissed off … what was different last night? Am I doing something wrong? Could it be that he didn’t really nap yesterday evening? Or I fed him a couple of bottles during the day we’re 180ml instead of 150ml. I really don’t know.
