Hungry 7 month old

My LO is just over 7 months and EBF. I'm struggling to start weaning as I have a lot of anxiety over it. So I only give her the off fruit and veg a few times a week. I haven't started giving food every day. She's recently become so hungry and BF for over 15 mins (she'd gone down to like 5 mins per feed which was great) but now it can be anything up to half hour and esp at night. Her bedtime feed can be up to half hour and then sometimes within an hour she's up again and wants another feed. During the day shes feeding every 1.5 max 2.5 hours between feeds.

Is she more hungry becos She's growing and I haven't started weaning?

Are you weaning bc you want to switch to formula? If no, then you shouldn’t wean until a year old Babies rely on milk for nutrients until they’re one. She’s probz growing and wants more milk no worries!

Probably. Her nutritional needs are changing. If she can seat and shows interest in food, she is telling you that she is ready. Whenever you start, it will take months until she is more comfortable with the process. Why are you anxious about introducing food? I was anxious too. It is a lot of work. But the most important thing is to feed the baby, and introducing to solids is part of the process of feeding the baby.

Also, you are not going to start weaning from breast milk in months, certainly not before 1. If your baby breastfeeds well and you enjoy breastfeeding there is no reason to decrease breastfeeding. Your baby will tell you when she wants to increase solids and decrease milk. But you need to give her a chance to make that choice.

Leaky nappy help

What nappies are you using to stop leaks?? We use pampers ultra dry size 5, and for the past few nights he has lashed through and we’ve had to completely change him during the night. Last night he leashed through twice!! He sleeps on his front and stays leaks through at the top of his leg where the tabs connect. Didn’t know whether to size up, he has a bit of a belly on him but he’s smack in middle of weight guidance so shouldn’t need too

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

5.30am wakeups 😫😴

My 15 week old has started waking up about 5.30am and is really hard to settle back down - it’s like he thinks it’s time to wake up for the day. He used to go to bed at 9pm and was up at 8am but now he goes to bed between 7.30-8pm as he’s knackered by then but waking up at 5.30am😴. Any advice to get him to sleep a little longer in the morning?! Even an extra hour would be lovely 🤣
